Depositphotos Stock is giving out bonuses
4
At the end of 2009, the photo bank Depositphotos emerged online. As far as I could find out, Depositphotos is a project by the creators of the file-sharing service Depositfiles. The file-sharing service is well known worldwide for its stability and various promotions, and it has earned a deserved popularity because of this. I believe that the microstock Depositphotos is destined for no less successful fate.
For now, this promising photostock is still in the stage of promotion and filling its database. In this regard, Depositphotos is running an enticing promotion offering bonuses to all newly joined photographers and designers. For each image uploaded to the Depositphotos photo bank, a bonus of $0.20 is credited. Moreover, you can withdraw your Depositphotos bonuses as soon as you reach the minimum payout amount. But let’s take a closer look at the characteristics of the Depositphotos photo bank, register on it, and find out how to receive and withdraw bonuses from the microstock.
Main Characteristics of Depositphotos
DepositPhotos accepts both photographs and vector images into its database. The size of the photograph must be at least 3.8 MP (2400 x 1600 pixels). Vector images should be submitted in a ZIP archive. The archive must contain two files: a JPEG file for preview (minimum 2400 x 1600 pixels) and, of course, the vector file in EPS or AI format.
The prices for purchasing photographs and illustrations at DepositPhotos depend on the size of the purchased image as well as the photographer’s level; the more works they have sold, the higher the commission percentage they receive. The payout range for image authors varies from 44% to 60%. Prices for images are set between $0.50-$9.00 for single sales or from $0.10 for subscription sales (under a standard license). If the sale of images on DepositPhotos occurs under an extended license, the price changes from $20 to $50.
To start working at DepositPhotos, you will need to register and submit your five best works for review, as well as send a document proving your identity (internal or international passport, driver’s license). If the photographs pass the quality examination by the photo bank inspectors, the author will be able to upload their works to DepositPhotos without restrictions. Uploading works to DepositPhotos is quite convenient and can be done either through the form on the photo bank’s website or via FTP protocol. The attribution of uploaded works is very convenient. Additionally, Depositphotos offers an auto-fill option based on a previously attributed file. Moreover, auto-fill can be applied either in bulk (for a group of files) or individually. The photo bank’s website supports a Russian interface, so authors who have difficulties with English should not face problems during registration and while working with the photo bank.
The minimum payout amount from DepositPhotos is only $50. Moreover, funds received as bonuses at the photo bank can also be withdrawn as soon as the minimum amount is reached. Another advantage of DepositPhotos, which distinguishes it from other photo banks, is the ability to receive earned money through the Webmoney payment system. However, DepositPhotos also offers the usual standard payout methods — payment systems like Moneybookers and PayPal.
Registration on Depositphotos
Registration on Depositphotos for image authors and buyers occurs in different sections. If you plan to sell your photographs or illustrations through Depositphotos, please go to submit.depositphotos.com
If the Russian version of the Depositphotos website does not open when you load the site, you can switch to it at the bottom of the page from International to Russian.
So, to register, click the large button at the bottom of the page:
If you are registering on the English version of the photo bank’s website, the button for registration will say “Sell stock” instead of “Sell photo”.
Next, a brief overview of how the Depositphotos photo bank works will appear. Click Continue. After that, be sure to check the box for I have read the Membership Agreement and I agree with it and click Continue.
All fields that appear should be filled in using only English letters! (I recommend ensuring that the spelling of your first and last name matches that in the documents provided for registration at Depositphotos. Or at least try to transliterate them correctly. However, if you make a mistake, there won’t be any issues)
At the end of the page, you can check the first three boxes at your discretion, but for the last point I agree to become an exclusive photographer for Depositphotos – leave it unchecked or ensure there are no ticks there! I assume you don’t plan to work exclusively for Depositphotos. All right, click on Continue.
Now you need to prepare 5 high-quality images (photos or illustrations) with a resolution of at least 3.8 MP in JPG format. Additionally, scan a document with your photo to confirm your identity. The scanned document must have a resolution of at least 0.5 MP (800×600 pixels).
Next, you will need to upload the prepared 5 images by clicking the links: Upload Image sequentially. After that, send your document file via the link Upload Document.
A little further down, you will be offered to add links to your portfolios in other stock banks you collaborate with. You can choose not to do this; it’s up to you. I did not include these links.
In the field Additional Personal Information, you don’t need to write anything. Leave it empty. Check the box next to I accept the Non-Exclusive Supply Agreement and click Continue.
After your 5 submitted works are reviewed and accepted, you will see the message Account: Active. Then, these five images will be in the Files – Incomplete section. You will need to complete the attribution of these files.
Don’t forget! In order to receive a bonus for the uploaded images on the Depositphotos stock, you must first go to the Promotion section and activate this offer. Otherwise, the bonus from Depositphotos will not be credited to you, and then you will regret it if you miss out.
Depositphotos Stock Bonuses
Currently, Depositphotos is actively expanding its database of photos and illustrations and is running many promotions for photographers and illustrators. The ongoing promotion at Depositphotos consists of a bonus of 20 cents for each accepted submission to the stock. According to the promotion conditions, the bonus applies to the first 500 images uploaded to the Depositphotos microstock. So, you can receive up to $100 in bonuses from this promotion. The end date of the promotion has not been set. To participate in the incentive program from Depositphotos, after registration, you will need to pass a fairly simple exam and then activate it in the Promotion tab. After that, your account will start receiving money for each accepted image. Don’t forget about this, or else the Depositphotos bonus will not be credited. I must note that the requirements for works on Depositphotos are quite low; I would say that there are currently no stringent requirements at all. Therefore, you can try uploading images of any quality and subject to Depositphotos. Most likely, the Depositphotos promotion will last for a couple more months. So hurry to get your $100 bonus!
In addition, Depositphotos also offers bonuses for webmasters. If you happen to have a website or blog related to stock photography, working with photography or graphics, you can earn $10 by placing one of the Depositphotos banners on your site. Just don’t forget to register on Depositphotos first! By the way, after placing the banner, you will need to show the site with the banner to Depositphotos, providing the link to the site in the “Attraction” tab in your Depositphotos account.
Moreover, Depositphotos offers rewards for each new customer or photographer referred to the stock. You can get complete information about the reward amounts in the “Attraction” tab on the Depositphotos microstock.
I can only say one thing: if you haven’t figured it out yet, the bonuses from Depositphotos are very, very tempting. Don’t waste time; hurry to register on Depositphotos to get your $100 bonus!
Thank you for the information that is unfortunately difficult to find on the internet!!!!!
After registration and uploading photos, a message appeared on my page: “Please go to the TAX Center section to fill out the tax form.” Could you please let me know if you filled out similar forms, which one to choose, and if it can be avoided?
Yes, on most microstocks, it is necessary to fill out tax forms so that the stocks can correctly calculate tax deductions.
If we talk about Depositphotos, you need to fill out the Online W-8 BEN Form.
Next to your name in the second line, write n/a.
In the third point, write Individual.
In the sixth, check I have no SSN, ITIN or EIN.
Your signature should be an exact copy of the name you provided above.
That should be all.
Good luck!
Hello! I am close to your topic and even plan to create a blog in the same direction. Could you, if it’s not too much trouble, send me information on how to contact you by email? Unfortunately, I couldn’t find your email address on the site, and I would like to hear your advice. Thank you in advance!
