Shutterstock Mobile for Contributors
2
At the end of May, the popular stock agency Shutterstock unveiled a new app for contributors, allowing them to use the site in a mobile-friendly version. The launch was announced on the stock forum with a post that read:
Dear contributors,
We’re delighted to share some great news: the Shutterstock Mobile team has been hard at work on a mobile app for contributors that makes it quick and easy to check the status of your submissions.
There’s still plenty to do, but we invite you to try it out and share your feedback here on the forum so we can make the necessary improvements.
You can access the mobile app for Shutterstock contributors by visiting submit.shutterstock.com/mobile from your phone (tip: Apple iPhone users can create a home screen shortcut by visiting the URL, tapping the share icon at the bottom of the browser, and selecting “Add to Home Screen”).
To summarize, here are the main things the mobile app helps contributors do:
- View your top downloaded files over the last 7 days;
- See your unpaid earnings balance;
- Check recent uploads, including per-file download counts and earnings;
- See the keywords that led buyers to your content.
Also note that, for now, the app supports a limited set of operating systems: iPhone running iOS 4.0 or higher and Android phones on version 2.3 or higher.
We look forward to your feedback so we can deliver the best possible updates for our valued contributors.
Thank you,
The Shutterstock Mobile Team
Judging by forum feedback, users on the supported iOS and Android versions are generally satisfied, while other contributors will need to wait until the Shutterstock team extends access to additional devices.

Can’t you send works to the site with the mobile version? Viewing sales is one thing, but sending works from far away is quite another, and it’s really necessary!
From the information I have, this option is not available, as phones are not intended for creating, editing, or attributing works. All the stockers I know use laptops when staying away from home for long periods.
