Tours to Beijing, China

Winter vacations encourage travel with an excursion program. Of course, lounging on the shores of the azure sea is enjoyable at any time of the year, but last-minute tours to China in February offer a wonderful opportunity to see the beauty of the East and capture it in photos for relatively little money. The journey to the Middle Kingdom begins in the country’s capital — Beijing.
The first thing that will surprise and bring a lot of positive emotions to any photographer is the national cuisine. After arriving from afar, tourists must immediately replenish their energy. You can enjoy delicious Chinese tea, unusual snacks, traditional noodles, or treat yourself to a real feast by ordering the capital’s famous dish — Peking duck.
In Beijing, you’ll find a vast number of attractions, temples, and interesting places that are perfect for photo shoots. Just one stroll along the Great Wall is worth a trip to China. Every stone of this grand structure breathes history.
And while only the foundation has survived since the time of Emperor Qin Shi Huang (for example, the part of the wall open to tourists was rebuilt in the 20th century), the excursion will amaze even the most seasoned travelers.
If you choose Beijing as your vacation destination, you cannot miss the Forbidden City. Closed off from outsiders for many centuries, it was known as the Forbidden City.
The inhabitants of the former imperial residence included warriors guarding their ruler, doctors, officials, cooks, servants, and one hundred and twenty concubines. Today, the ancient ensemble of buildings functions as a museum, which will take a whole day to explore.
The Forbidden City has several entrances and exits. Before the southern gates lies the world’s largest square — the famous Tiananmen. 800 meters in diameter and a 38-meter monument to the people’s heroes overwhelm with their size.
However, it’s worth walking across the sandy-colored slabs through the entire square just to feel the fullness and inner strength of China’s great buildings.
An exciting mini-trip will be a visit to the Summer Palace. Just 80 km north of Beijing, and you’ll find yourself in the summer imperial palace. The winding paths of the park, pavilions, ponds, and Chinese architecture are all as beautiful as the renowned gardens of Suzhou. The highlight of the complex is a covered gallery stretching 728 meters, with walls adorned with paintings.
Another significant attraction in the capital is the iconic Temple of Heaven. In the adjoining park, you can stroll along the wonderful “Echo Wall” and discover the “Three Echo Stones”. If you arrive at the temple at a certain time, you will undoubtedly witness outdoor training sessions. Qigong or Tai Chi — the choice depends on the desires of those present.
Winter is a good time for both excursions and shopping tours. Beijing’s central department store is three times larger than Moscow’s GUM. There, you can purchase a wide variety of high-quality goods.
However, if your desire to visit the capital of China is solely for bargain shopping, you should set aside a whole day for a stroll along the main shopping street, which is home to up to 50 major stores, hundreds of boutiques, numerous eateries, and several banks.
Beijing is famous for its traditional Chinese medicine centers. Trips to China for health purposes are just as popular as inexpensive tours to Israel, where the level of medical care is also very high. The experience accumulated over hundreds of years has shown that acupuncture can overcome many ailments. A trip to Beijing offers vivid impressions and health.
