Moneybookers withdrawal and verification
529
In the first part of the Moneybookers(Skrill) review, I’ve already explained how to register on Moneybookers. Today, I will tell you how and where to withdraw money from this payment system, what rates apply to various transactions within the Moneybookers, how to deposit your Skrill account, and how to resolve issues and questions that arise while using it. I remind you that since 2012, the rebranding of the Moneybookers site to the new brand name “Skrill” has begun, so in the article, I sometimes refer to the old and sometimes to the new name of the system.
Withdrawing Money from Moneybookers
To be able to withdraw money from Moneybookers, you will need to open a currency checking account in US dollars or a card account in any suitable bank for you. In principle, you can even open an account at Sberbank, but remember that the account verification procedure in Moneybookers may be complicated.
You can withdraw money from Moneybookers through a bank or card account.
Let’s consider the method of withdrawing money from Moneybookers to a bank account. Let’s assume that you have already opened a bank account. Now you need to add this bank account to Moneybookers.
To add a bank account to Skrill, you will need the bank account number (IBAN) and the bank’s SWIFT code. The SWIFT code is the bank identification code, which can be found on the bank’s website or clarified directly with the bank support.
If you have this information, log into your Moneybookers account and click the “withdraw money” button.
In the window that opens next to the “Bank” field, click “Manage” and add a new bank. Sequentially enter the SWIFT code of the bank and the bank account number (if the account is opened in Sberbank, do not specify the digits after the slash).
Account Verification in Moneybookers
After entering the account details, it will need to be verified in Moneybookers so that you can withdraw your money without restrictions and Moneybookers can be assured that its services are not being used for money laundering.
Verifying your account in Moneybookers involves making your first trial withdrawal of 15-20 dollars from Skrill to your bank account (with a fee of approximately 2.95 euros deducted by Moneybookers for the transfer).
When the money arrives in your bank account, you will need to find out the verification code from the bank, which the payment system will include in the transaction description. By the way, getting the code from the bank is likely to be the longest stage of verification due to the “professionalism” of bank employees. The good news is that you will only need to do this once.
To save time and avoid frustration, inform the bank clerk that the Moneybookers code is included in the payment message (in the SWIFT message) in the line that begins with the number 70, followed by: VRF CODE ****** MONEYBOOKERS. Instead of asterisks, the necessary Moneybookers verification code will be found in the payment.
You will need to enter the obtained verification code on the Moneybookers website when requesting the second withdrawal of money to your bank account. The verification code will be valid for 45 days after the date of the first transfer, so to avoid having to request the code from the bank again, do not delay the verification process in Moneybookers.
If you opened an account at a branch of Sberbank, the verification procedure may be complicated because SWIFT’s information is not sent to branches, and the employees there may not be able to provide the verification code.
In such a situation, it may be easier to send a request to service@moneybookers.com asking to verify your Moneybookers account (you can send it in your local language). Attach a file with a scan of your official photo ID (passport or driver’s license) and a scan copy of a recent bill showing your mailing address (for example, a dry cleaning receipt).
This will be sufficient to receive a response about the successful verification of your Moneybookers account and the amount of the transaction limit set for you.
Moneybookers Withdrawal to a Bank Card
Now let’s look at the second way to withdraw money from Moneybookers – directly to your card account or, simply saying, to your card.
The maximum limit for a single Moneybookers withdrawal to a bank card at the time of writing this article is no more than 500 euros. The available withdrawal amount in the payment system is not determined by your discretion but is automatically calculated by the payment system each time you request a withdrawal.
Withdrawing money from Moneybookers to a payment card is probably the simplest method. First of all, you will need a payment card, either VISA or VISA Electron, with a CVV code on the back. You will also need to top up the card balance by about 3 dollars to undergo verification in Moneybookers.
Card Verification in Moneybookers
If you have your bank card and have deposited money onto it, we can verify the card in Moneybookers. You will need to enter the payment card details (number, expiration date, CVV code), after which a trial transfer will occur from the payment card to your Moneybookers account (the amount will be between $1 and $3).
At this time, you will need to specify the purpose of the transfer: “Will the funds be used for gambling or non-gambling purposes?” You should select the option for gambling purposes.
After the transfer to Moneybookers is made, you will need to contact your bank or check your recent transactions through an ATM or through online banking to find out what amount was transferred from the card. After that, you will need to enter the exact amount that Moneybookers transferred from your card into the verification field on the Moneybookers site.
That’s all, now you can withdraw money from Moneybookers directly to your payment card.
I recommend activating the SMS banking service with your bank. This will speed up the process of receiving information about the exact amount of the trial transaction, especially if the currency of the payment card differs from the currency of your Moneybookers account.
Please note that to avoid additional expenses, it is better to open the card in the same currency as your Moneybookers account or vice versa (the Moneybookers account is in the same currency as the payment card). In the event of currency conversion, the payment system additionally charges a fee of 1.99% on the foreign exchange rate. This fee protects the system from fluctuations in foreign currency rates and the associated risks.
About Canceling the Indication of Gambling Purposes
In October 2021, significant changes occurred in Moneybookers’ policy regarding wallet top-ups. Starting October 12, 2021, Moneybookers stopped distinguishing between funds deposited into the account balance for gambling and non-gambling purposes.
For those using this payment system to fund their accounts on gambling sites, this is a very important point. For others, this nuance is also important, as many were confused trying to understand why Moneybookers clarify for what purposes funds are transferred to the wallet.
Moneybookers Limits
By the way, there is a theory that the system has an overall limit set by the servicing bank for all card withdrawals from the system, and this limit is often insufficient (more money is withdrawn through cards than is deposited). As a result of the limit’s insufficiency, Moneybookers provides a withdrawal limit on the card that will be much lower than the set 500 euros.
When accessing the card withdrawal section at different times of the day, one can observe various limits. According to user calculations, the maximum withdrawal limit is reached at night Moscow time.
Also, sometimes when trying to withdraw money via card, users of the payment system receive a message: “The withdrawal limit through the credit card has been exhausted. Please try again next week.”
If you ask the Moneybookers support about the withdrawal limit, you will most likely receive a standard response:
“We would like to inform you that in addition to the withdrawal limits on the credit/debit card set by us at 1500 EUR per month and no more than 500 EUR at a time, the card services representative (intermediary company) has established a limit based on the ratio of deposited and withdrawn funds in the currency currently registered in your account in our system.
If the system does not allow you to withdraw the amount you need or if the money returns to your account after a successful withdrawal, we would recommend trying to withdraw the money again after a short period when the desired amount will be available for withdrawal.
We understand that in some cases the withdrawal limit on the credit/debit card is low, but due to factors beyond our control, we cannot increase it. If you are not satisfied with the limit at this time, we could suggest using a bank account withdrawal. When withdrawing to a bank account by bank transfer, the withdrawal limit is only limited by your limits, which you can increase.”
Do not be alarmed; this is a standard situation in this payment system. There is no need to wait until next week, you just need to “catch” the withdrawal to the card. As I mentioned above, this message appears due to the total withdrawal limit from Moneybookers via payment cards set by the servicing bank of the payment system.
By the way, the maximum amount that can be caught at this time is about 500-700 dollars or almost 500 euros in euro equivalent. Therefore, if you have sufficiently large amounts, I strongly advise withdrawing money from Moneybookers to a bank account.
However, there can also be problems with banks, as only the bank’s Swift code and your bank account number are used for withdrawals from Moneybookers. If you opened an account at a branch of the bank, meaning that the accounts of the branch and the head office differ, or if direct transfers from the servicing bank of the payment system to your bank are not possible, you will have to contact support.
In general, based on my own experience and the feedback from other users, the best banks for large withdrawals are Alfa and Paribas.

Skrill Support
To ask a question in the Moneybookers support service, you need to go to your account via the menu “My Account” –> “Email support” to access the User Service Center, represented as a query tree.
Here you can find answers to the main questions arising when using the system, as well as resolve any problems that occur while working by selecting the corresponding category related to your issue.
If you did not find the information you need, you can leave a message describing your problem for the Moneybookers support operator. If you need to provide documents confirming your identity, you should send them to the email: security@moneybookers.com.
You can also ask questions or resolve issues that arise while working in the system by calling the support service: 8-10-442035145562. When you get through, the robot will prompt you to select the language of communication in tonal mode:
1. English
2. German
3. French
4. Polish
5. Russian
6. …
You need to press the number that corresponds to the language you prefer. After that, the robot will suggest selecting the topic of your call by pressing the corresponding number. To listen to the list of topics again, just press # “hash”.
As a result, after all the presses and beeps, you will hear a Moneybookers operator in the language you need. You can also call Moneybookers support via Skype, which will cost significantly less. However, recently they removed the Skype contact from their website.
There is a small trick when communicating or corresponding with the operators of the payment system. When you describe or explain your problem to the operator, be sure to mention that due to these difficulties (if your account is temporarily blocked, or there are payment issues, etc.), you are forced to use other payment systems instead of such a good payment system as Moneybookers.
Domestic microstockers, to receive their earnings from photo banks such as Shutterstock, Fotolia, Stockfresh, Istockphoto, Dreamstime, 123RF, Canstockphoto, Crestock, and Bigstockphoto, are simply forced to use the Moneybookers payment system.
In principle, transferring money from stock photo sites to Moneybookers wallet and further withdrawing money from Moneybookers is a fairly quick, reliable, and the only way (except for checks) to receive payments from photo banks.
In my opinion, of course, it wouldn’t hurt to have alternative options as well. I suspect that when a more profitable payment system becomes available among the payment options for microstocks, Moneybookers will feel a noticeable decline in turnover. Well, for now, if you want to work with international stock photo agencies, you have to use this payment system!

Hello! I encountered a problem: when withdrawing funds, my bank cards are no longer displayed! Both the old dollar Visa and the new euro card are not showing. However, they are visible in the “Cards and Bank Accounts” section. They are verified. I wrote to support, but I don’t expect a quick response(( Maybe you can suggest something? Thank you.
Good afternoon!
Honestly, I have not encountered this problem. Perhaps it is related to the currency changes in October on Skrill. As far as I remember, they removed the option for merchants to withdraw to cards. Don’t you happen to have a merchant account?
Good afternoon! Please tell me, I went through the verification of the card on Skrill, entered the amount of $3. After that, I was returned to the bank accounts window, where nothing is written under actions (I assume it’s verified). It says the card is primary, and the money left my card to Skrill, but 2 days have passed, and my balance on Skrill is still $0.00. When I click the deposit button, it says the operation is impossible with the card. But the money for verification was deducted. What should I do???
Good afternoon!
Lilia, I don’t quite understand about the verification. Does it say next to the card that it is verified? Or does the “Verification” button light up?
The verification procedure means that Skrill requests an amount from your card within $3, and you need to find out the exact amount from your bank and then enter it on the Skrill website. If you were just trying to make a deposit and the money hasn’t appeared in your Skrill account, then check again with your bank. Most likely, the amount of $3 you mentioned is just blocked and not deducted and, logically, should return after some time.
If I successfully linked a card to my Skrill account and requested a withdrawal to it, but the names on the account and the card are different – will the funds not reach? Will there be any problems in the future? What will happen to the money?
Alexander, the funds should reach normally if the card was successfully linked and verified. You shouldn’t worry about that. Just wait 4-7 days.
In the future, a potential problem could be that your bank may be interested in the origin of the funds and request some supporting documents regarding the source of the money, and in that case, I think it will be difficult for you to documentarily connect the card and Skrill accounts with different names. But that’s a hypothetical problem.
Hello Olga! Maybe you can advise me. I have a problem: I withdraw winnings from a bookmaker, first I received a notification about tax payment, I paid. About a month later, I received a notification about commission payment, I paid. I paid the commission on August 14 and today is already August 21, and the money is still not there. If possible, please write an answer to my email. Thank you in advance. I will be waiting for your response!
Dmitry, good afternoon. I didn’t quite understand you. Are you waiting for money to arrive in your Skrill wallet from the bookmaker or have you requested a withdrawal from Skrill? If you are waiting for money from the bookmaker to Skrill, then you need to ask them about the funds. Perhaps they have some payment period during which payouts are processed?
Good people, please help me figure out how to fund accounts and withdraw money in the program?
What exactly is unclear?
How many currency wallets can I choose? And if I can only have one, can I change it later??
Sergey, the currency of the account is set when opening it. You can open multiple accounts in different currencies, but only if you have VIP status on Skrill. Here, read this: http://help.skrill.com/ru/Article/skrill-vip/vip-benefits/how-can-i-open-another-skrill-account-in-a-different-currency.
You can only change the wallet currency in the following way: http://help.skrill.com/ru/Article/skrill-vip/vip-benefits/can-i-change-my-skrill-account-currency
Olya, good afternoon! If my card is issued in my name, but it is written differently in English than in my passport, will such a card work? Thank you.
Ksenia, it doesn’t matter. The system does not verify the last name and first name on the card.
I lost $42 in Skrill, which XTrade sent. They reported that it was received, but nothing came…
The support team just keeps passing my requests around…
Yuri, try asking the sender to reach out to support regarding this payment from their side.
It’s strange, but Skrill didn’t ask for any VRF CODE during the second withdrawal. First, I withdrew $15, and three days later the remaining amount, and Skrill didn’t request any code. What’s most strange is that the money arrived.
Hello, Olya.
If I have an account with Telebank (VTB24 online bank), will I need to independently look for the verification code VRF CODE ****** MONEYBOOKERS in my personal account for verifying the foreign currency account? Because I do all operations myself in Telebank, bypassing bank clerks. Please advise.
Good day!
Yes. If the verification is by card, check the blocked amounts. If the verification is by account, also look for the necessary code in the statement.
100 rubles
Thank you, keep it for yourself…
This topic is from 2010, what was written is still relevant regarding the first and last withdrawals and obtaining the verification code from bank employees
Yes
It’s much easier to withdraw money from Skrill by purchasing something. In fact, quite a few stores accept Skrill. Both Pandawill and DinoDirect, and DHgate.com. The British stores Basefashion.co.uk and cjs-cdkeys.com.
Hello everyone!
On November 21, I sent money to my account at Sberbank, but it still hasn’t arrived (today is already December 9!!). I wrote to Skrill support – no response.
What should I do, guys? The amount is significant for me – I’m worried.
Hello!
Recently, Skrill support has been responding very slowly to requests. Check and try calling them using their contact numbers; you might get a faster response.
Why do I need to indicate “for gaming purposes”? Different sources provide different information. In one video, the author says to select “not for gambling.” Help me understand.
You need to specify it this way to withdraw money to your card properly. Skrill withdraws money to cards by indicating “gambling” in the transaction code, so they need to specify gaming purposes during card verification to confirm that you allow such transactions. Oddly enough, if you indicate “for non-gaming purposes,” sometimes the withdrawal also works correctly to the card from Skrill, but this is more of an exception than a rule.
Good afternoon, Skrill is not verifying my card (to write the amount when withdrawing, there was already a similar question), I called Skrill, and they said the bank is refusing. The bank said that there is a refusal at the processing level because Skrill is not sending the required information, i.e., a deadlock… I have cards from two banks, and the situation is the same with both. Can you suggest which banks’ cards work for withdrawals? Thank you in advance.
Good afternoon, Ivan!
Please try Alfa-Bank.
Hello! Could you please tell me why I cannot withdraw money to my Visa card? It automatically defaults to bank transfer, although I can fund my account via card but can only withdraw by bank transfer?
Good afternoon!
Veronica, has your card been successfully verified?
Hello! Can someone tell me why when withdrawing money to the card, the intermediary bank charged me $28, not counting Skrill and the local bank’s commissions, for an amount less than $200? Where can I write to change the intermediary bank? The transfer was made to Moldova to a Visa card.
Good day, Mariana! I wanted to clarify how you withdrew money from Skrill. Did you withdraw it directly to the card or to a bank account linked to the card? I’m asking because the intermediary bank’s commission appears only when a withdrawal is processed on the Skrill account. Such a payment goes through the SWIFT system and a chain of intermediary banks, which may deduct their commission. When ordering a payout to a card, the payout goes through a payment system and no commission is charged by the payment system, only Skrill’s commission and your bank’s commission.
I have a problem—I used to withdraw money to an account (in Moldova), but now I’m in Russia and made a new card. I verified the Visa Classic card from VTB24, and its status is verified, but when I want to withdraw money and click the “withdraw” button, the opening window shows that I can only send it as a bank transfer, and I can’t select the card, only bank accounts. I wrote to support twice, and it’s been about ten days with no response.
You need to wait for a response from support. But I think the problem is that in the bookmakers, the Moldovan address is probably specified, while the card is Russian. I once faced a situation where bookmakers wouldn’t even verify a card, stating that the bank that issued the card was not in the country where I reside. I had to use a card from another bank that worked fine for them.
Hello! Please help me understand. The thing is, when I registered, I accidentally specified a euro account, but I need a dollar account (as I work with stocks, where only dollars are used). Then I linked my bank card and tried to verify it. However, since the card is dollar-based, the verification amount came in dollars. When I entered the deduction amount, it naturally didn’t match because the account is in euros and the card is in dollars. An attempt to somehow convert from dollars to euros also failed. And there are only three attempts allowed. Consequently, the card was not verified. The transaction has already been made, and I can’t change the account to dollars. I wrote them a letter about my problem, and they replied that I need to send a color copy of my passport, and then they will verify my card. I sent them a color copy of the document, but they still did not verify my card. Then I linked a euro card. I tried to verify it, but was told that the transaction failed. Thus, I couldn’t verify this card either. And when I try to withdraw money, I am offered only one card to withdraw to—the dollar card, and for some reason, the euro card is not available. The dollar card needs to be verified again, but this won’t work because it is a dollar card and the secret verification amount will also come to the card in dollars, while my Skrill account is in euros, and I need to enter the verification amount in euros. It creates a vicious circle. What should I do? Is calling them the only option? Thank you.
Hello, Larisa! The first thing that comes to mind is that the transaction conversion from euros to dollars during verification with a dollar card happens at the bank level. So, you might want to check with your bank what amount comes in euros for the transaction. I know cases where people verified ruble cards by finding out the dollar or euro amount that came to the bank from Skrill before conversion. You can generally get a bank statement, which usually indicates the transaction amount in the account currency and the transaction amount in the counterparty currency (in your situation, in euros). The second option is to open another Skrill account in dollars under a relative or friend you trust. Open another dollar card in your name and link it to the second account. If everything goes smoothly, then transfer the money from your account to the new account and withdraw it to the card. You can continue working through the second account. The third option is to continue negotiating with Skrill support. They may be slow, but eventually, you can get something from them.
The amount may not be sufficient for verification
Thank you very much in advance)
Good afternoon, Olga.
The price of the card is $3, meaning its service fee, but they charged me $5.
I checked; I have $4.7 there.
So I’m wondering, maybe these $3, although they are in my account, cannot be withdrawn.
Should I top up my account by $3?
Also, does the electronic Visa need to be opened for online transactions?
Good afternoon, Andrey!
Yes, banks usually impose restrictions on online transactions and certain other types of operations for security purposes. This applies to verification.
I am from Ukraine. I have a Visa electronic card from Oshchadbank; I made it three days ago. I opened it in USD. Should I have opened it in UAH? Or maybe there is an issue with the card?
Good afternoon, Andrey!
There could be several reasons. First, you need to check with your bank if the card is enabled for online transactions. Second, the card must have enough balance for verification. The currency in which the card was opened does not matter. If all the above points are fine, then write your question to Skrill support.
Hello, I cannot verify the Visa credit card from “Oshchadbank” in the Skrill payment system. It says – “verification failed, please contact us.” Can you advise what to do?
I wanted to remove it, but I can’t find where to do that. In the “Cards and Bank Accounts” menu, I don’t have a “Remove” button.
Hmm, strange. I don’t have that button next to the card that is verified. But I also have a card in my account that has not passed verification, and next to it, the delete button is highlighted. So in your case, you either wait for a response or add another card.
Good afternoon! I tried to verify my card in Skrill, but it turned out that there were no funds on the card. Now the verification button has disappeared next to the card. I can’t do anything. I wrote to support, but there has been no response from them. What should I do? Thank you
Good afternoon! In this situation, there are 2 options:
1) Wait for their response. I had a similar situation. They wrote back that I needed to remove the card from my account and then try to add it again. However, in my case, the user removal didn’t work because the card still remained in Skrill’s database, even though it was not displayed in my account. This was about 3 years ago. In principle, try to remove and add it again; it may work better now. If not, then only through support.
2) Try using another card if you don’t have time to wait for support to help resolve the issue.
Good day! When transferring money to the card, I selected the option “not for gaming purposes.” The money has not yet arrived on the card. What should I do?
Good day!
Andrey, so did the transfer go through normally on Bookers? Did the money get deducted from your account in Bookers? If so, how many days have passed since the order was made?
Please help, I can’t transfer money to my card, the one I used to transfer… The amount won’t input in the “money input” field… What should I do, does anyone know?
Elya, do you have a problem with your browser? Have you tried restarting or logging into your account and entering the amount through a different browser?
Good day! Could you please tell me how to write the mobile operator’s phone number in Russia in international format for requesting a callback?
If calling from mobile to mobile, start with +7, then the mobile number without the first eight. For example, if the mobile number is 8 780
1234567, then to call from abroad you need +7 780 1234567.
If calling from a landline to mobile, then start with 007, then the mobile number without the first eight. For example, if the mobile number is 8 780 1234567, then to call from abroad you need 007 780 1234567.
I think you should indicate the number in your application with the plus sign, and they should figure out how to dial it correctly.
Thank you! I will try!
Is the exit code in parentheses after the country code? It seems there’s (0) there. If calling from Russia, what code should I enter and after which digits? Is there a similar instruction for switching to a Russian operator on this phone? Does one press 5? Is it even possible to get through on this number? Please answer each question. I have been withdrawing money from here for six months. The verification email hasn’t arrived, it’s been 1.5 months since I sent the receipt, and I’ve been waiting for two weeks; nothing is happening in my account. I really need money for treatment; I’ve been waiting for half a year.
Maxim, look:
“From Russia, if calling from a landline: 8-10-44–
8 – exit to long distance
10 – exit to international line
44 – international phone code for the UK
From Russia, if calling from a mobile phone: +44–”
So, if calling from a landline, you need to dial 8-10-44-2035145562. If calling from a mobile, dial +442035145562.
Regarding switching to a Russian operator, pressing 5 still works. The provided phone number is currently listed everywhere as Skrill’s support phone number.
They also have a VIP client support number; you can try calling it at +44 (0) 203 608 1405. As far as I’ve heard, it’s possible to get answers to your questions from support even if you’re not a VIP client.
There’s another way to contact them: go to https://www.skrill.com/en/vip-programme/vip-support/, at the very bottom there is a link “Request a call back.” A form will appear where you need to enter your full number in international format. As far as I’ve heard, during working hours, they usually call back within 5 minutes.
Update 10/2024: the phone number has been removed from this page.
Could you please tell me if the support phone number for Skrill is still working? You wrote an article in 2010, maybe the phone number has changed?
Maxim, their number is currently “44 2035145562”. Working hours: Mon-Sun from 09:00 to 18:00 GMT.
Don’t forget that you may need to enter an exit code for calling abroad from your country.
I was blocked, I want to withdraw money from the account.
Withdrawal in case of a block is only possible through support. Send them a request and provide the required documents.
And here’s a joke—I enter my bank account details, and it tells me this account is already registered in the system! Total mess! Don’t use Skrill if you don’t want a headache.
They have this thing where if you add an account or card and then delete it, the information remains in their database, so you can’t re-add it. I wrote to support to have the card removed from their database in such cases.
Does raising the commission for withdrawing funds to almost $4 somehow improve convenience for users working with Skrill?
Or is it just the exclusion of CIS countries from the list of countries with guaranteed withdrawals?
Rhetorical question: Why is Skrill doing this?
Have they become too overwhelmed with clients or has profit shaken their common sense?
Name as Name, I don’t really know what they have improved in terms of convenience. Support, for example, gives replies after terrible delays. It used to be a couple of days at most, but now it’s at least a couple of weeks.
Hello! What is the current fee for withdrawals to a card? In October, it was 1.80, but now it’s 3.95!!! Can you please tell me?…
Good afternoon!
Yes, the rate has increased. I wrote exactly 2 months ago on the blog about the upcoming change. Here’s the link https://microstock.top/mikrostoki/skrill-menyaet-tarify/. By the way, the rate for internal system transfers is also changing.
Good day.
I have a question: I want to link my wife’s Skrill account to my Shutter account for her nice online purchases. Will Shutter be suspicious that the Skrill account isn’t mine? Do they see anything other than the email when transferring money? Or do they not care? Thanks in advance!
Good day!
Everything is fine; they don’t see anything other than the email.
Good day.
I want to link my wife’s Skrill account to Shutter, so it’s easier for her to do shopping. Will Shutter notice that the account isn’t mine? What information besides the email do they see when transferring money? Or do they not care? Thanks in advance!
Please help me figure this out. I have a card open, and everything is going fine so far, but I’m advised to open a bank account because the withdrawal limit on the card is very low. So, can I open both a card and an account at the same time and use them simultaneously? And do I need a card account (linked to this same card) or a completely new one?
Yes, you can open and use an account in addition to the card. You can withdraw money to both at the same time. You can link up to 5 cards to your bookers account and withdraw to each of them in turn. The account can be linked to the card or be a regular checking account without linking to the card. The main thing is that the account currency matches the one in the bookers.
I requested a withdrawal of money – 500 euros to a card from the payment system, five days have passed – there’s silence on the card… Can you tell me how normal this is? How long do SWIFT payments from the payment system to cards usually take?
On average, it takes 4 working (bank) days, so if you sent it last Wednesday or Thursday, the money should be on the card by Tuesday or Wednesday. If after 5 working days the money is still not on the card, you should call the bank to check on it. Some banks do not process such deposits automatically, and particularly meticulous ones may hold the amounts in a special account until the payment circumstances are clarified.
I lost 5 euros calling Skrill support, and besides the swan lake, I heard nothing!!! Silence
I lost 5 euros calling the Skrill support!” Besides the swan lake, I heard nothing!!!
It’s now the 4th day of the saga with the payment system!!! So far, complete silence!!!
Here’s your money and the payment system!!!)))
Since the 26th, no one has replied!!!
No answer, no greeting!!!
Well, actually, the support at the payment system usually replies in about 3-4 days. So maybe you should wait a couple more days?
Well done, you respond!!! I sent three emails in a day and got no reply! A couple of years ago, I had no issues withdrawing through the payment system! And now I don’t even know what to do next!!!
Moneybookers is giving me a headache! Available funds 3.57, total balance 456.57! How can I withdraw my hard-earned 456.57? I don’t understand how to withdraw!!! The first time I withdrew from PokerStars via Moneybookers, I won’t do it again! How do I take out my money???
Sergey, have you contacted the support of the payment system for clarification on this situation? Perhaps they need some additional verification from you?
Hello, can you please tell me if I will be able to successfully withdraw money to a Visa Electron card from Sberbank, assuming that I have a CVV code on it? Many say there are problems…
Good afternoon!
It should work. If your card verification with the payment processors has been successful, there should be no problems.
Is there any way to order their card for residents of Russia now? Not supported.
Yes, there was recently information that they would open it for Russia, but apparently not yet. Write them a question in support and ask when access to cards will be available. Maybe when there is a significant number of such requests, they will make it available.
Hello!
I have this situation – I verified my Sberbank card in the Skrill personal account, and its status is verified, but when I want to withdraw money – I click the “withdraw” button, and in the window that opens, it says that I need to verify this same card again and the input field for the amount to withdraw is inactive?
I wrote to support – they are silent so far.
What could be the problem?
I believe it would be best for you to wait for a response from support, as if the card is correctly verified, but you are still being asked to verify it again, it seems like a glitch on Skrill’s side. Please write back to let me know what Skrill replies.
Hello!
A couple of days ago, money arrived in the account… the transfer status says PROCESSED. Total balance: EUR 136.00 … but the Available
EUR 0.00… and the withdraw button is inactive… what should I do?
Good day!
Could you make a screenshot of the page?
I am trying to withdraw money, but the “withdraw” button is not activated and it says: “Money can be withdrawn if the account has a balance.” What should I do in this case?
What is the balance? Is there money?
Hello! Please tell me, I’m trying to withdraw 200 dollars to my card. My account shows: 203.47 dollars total balance, but available is 5.45 dollars. By clicking on the question near the total balance, I read the following: “This is your available balance, including all applicable reserves and/or transactions made with your Skrill Mastercard, the payment for which has not yet been made.” How should I understand this?))
Good day!
What do you have in the limits section? Are the limits not exhausted? Is everything okay with your transaction history? Did those 200 dollars arrive a long time ago? Was it some special transaction (a transfer from another user) or a payout from some sites? I checked, and the amounts in the balance and total remaining are the same.
Have you tried asking your question to support? Usually, they respond quite promptly.
What commission does the bank charge when withdrawing money?
I read that it’s around 50 dollars.
Is it really so?
If to a card, then about 1%, and if to a bank account, it might come out slightly more expensive, but in the end, the loss is limited to about 2% of the withdrawn amount.
Hello. Please advise. How can I withdraw large sums of money, and is this possible? For example, 50-70,000. Only through a bank account, I understood? (SWIFT) Has anyone withdrawn similar amounts?
Good day!
You can withdraw, but limits in the system can become an obstacle. For clients with high turnover, brokers offer VIP conditions. To become a VIP, you need to submit an application from your account. They have various options for VIP membership.
As an option, to withdraw and avoid issues with revealing large sums in your local banks, you can order a Skrill Prepaid MasterCard payment card through the brokers and withdraw money via it. This card has a daily withdrawal limit at ATMs of up to 2500 euros.
How can I write to them? I searched but couldn’t find it.
Maxim, in your account go to the link moneybookers.com/app/faqmessaging.pl, select the section, for example, Deposits, and there click on the line “Other inquiries…”. Write your request and wait for a response.
Hello. I have this problem: there is a positive balance on the card, and everything is done according to your description, but Moneybookers says: “We cannot make payments to this credit/debit card, please try another card or an alternative option.”
Good day!
When adding a card, did you check the box next to gaming purposes? If so, please contact support for clarification on why they are unable to perform these operations with your card. I once mentioned that I had problems with cards from certain banks. There were even issues with one bank’s cards; for Gold, they didn’t process transactions, but everything went smoothly for Electron.
The information about verifying an account at Sberbank is incorrect. I have been unable to verify my account for six months. Sberbank does not provide any verification codes; they know nothing about SWIFT. Receipts for utility payments, letters addressed to the recipient, and other documents did not work for verifying the account in Moneybookers. Such documents only allowed me to increase the withdrawal limit from the account, and that’s all. Whether you increase the limits or not, without account verification, you won’t be able to withdraw anything. And Skrill requires a VRF code, that’s it!
The only option left is to close the account at Sberbank and open an account at another commercial bank that works with Moneybookers.
Your information on the site is outdated.
Masha, I mentioned at the beginning of the article that there will be problems with Sberbank branches and offices. Just the detailed information about payments does not reach remote bank offices. Given the business processes and user role restrictions prescribed in Sberbank’s software, the operator in the branch has no access to SWIFT payment data. To obtain such information, it’s easier to work with relatively small banks, where the chain from the operator to the SWIFT data will be minimal.
And why don’t you want to withdraw to a card? For amounts of $2-3 thousand a month, cards also work quite well.
Hello! I am from Ukraine. I tried to withdraw money from Moneybookers, added a bank account, and at the same time, my Moneybookers account was blocked. It says I need to fund the Moneybookers account to verify my bank account. When I attempted to fund it, an error occurred, and I contacted the bank; they said to write to Moneybookers support. Have you encountered such a problem?
Hello!
Vladislav, what error occurs? What exactly is the problem? After all, a standard transfer by details is made.
By the way, why not withdraw to a card? As far as I heard, withdrawals to Ukrsibbank cards work fine. It’s better not to deal with Privatbank; they blocked transfers from Moneybookers to client accounts last year.
Good day. I wrote down the card number and all the details and sent them for card verification, but I did not record the amount of funds and I do not know what amount to enter. Later, I also topped up the card in rubles (the card is in dollars). Here’s the problem that arose. Can I go through the verification again, or can I ask the bank how much was charged from me? Please help. Thank you in advance.
Good day!
Check with your bank what amount in dollars was blocked. The thing is, during the verification process, a verification amount is blocked on your card. This block should be visible at the bank.
Thank you for your response! Sberbank issued me a Classic Visa card, but in rubles; they are temporarily not issuing dollars due to a program failure. Should there be any problems with a ruble card? My acquaintance had not a card but a ruble account, and money was credited, simply converted at the rate. Another question: can I verify my address without waiting for the letter? And if not, how long should I wait for the letter before writing to support for manual verification? Will two weeks be enough? I just want to make sure my documents for manual address verification don’t expire.
Yuri, in principle, Sberbank should have automatic conversion set up for deposits. The downside of this arrangement is the losses on the conversion rate and conversion fees. Regarding the address, try writing to support and suggesting they accept your document scans. The letter usually arrives within 2-3 weeks after sending, but with Russian Post, you should be prepared for any unexpected delays.
Thank you for your response! Is the Visa Electron suitable for Moneybookers? What is its difference from the Classic Visa? And if Sberbank does not issue the card, which bank is best to approach to work with Moneybookers? I apologize for asking so many questions, but how often can changes be made in Moneybookers:
I corrected an error in my name, added a new email, and wanted to change my address, but it won’t let me, it says in three months. Has anything changed regarding address verification? If the letter doesn’t arrive, can I verify manually? Can I verify manually without waiting for the letter? Will a contract with the bank, stamped, be suitable for verification?
Yuri, the Electron is quite suitable. The difference between the Electron and the Classic is that all transactions with the Electron require mandatory authorization. For the bookers, there is no difference; the main thing is that it should be a Visa. Regarding the possible refusal from Sberbank, if it happens, just check the nearest bank offices to you. When ordering a card, be sure to specify that you will definitely need to conduct online transactions; the card must be in dollars (or euros), and also inquire about the bank’s commissions for card issuance, payment deposits, and cash withdrawals.
Honestly, I haven’t made frequent changes in my Moneybookers account, so I can’t say for sure about the timelines. In principle, if something didn’t work out on my own, I always wrote to support; they respond quite quickly and try to help. If the letter doesn’t arrive, you can try suggesting they send copies of your documents (scans of your passport, some paper with your address, etc.).
Hello. Today I verified my card in Skrill. I wanted to withdraw money to my card. In the end, I see that the maximum withdrawal amount in the menu is: 0.45 USD! Why is it so low????
Good afternoon!
I mentioned somewhere in the comments that this amount is variable, and sometimes it’s enough to refresh the page to see a different limit amount. The maximum one-time withdrawal to the card is approximately $670. If refreshing doesn’t help, try again later, in a few hours.
It’s no secret) I have Sberbank, but I can’t delete the card because it’s the main one.
Try contacting support with a description of the problem. This usually helps 99% of the time.
There’s no such thing. After the card number, it says check(?), but nothing happens when I click it. And regarding the money, I deposited it onto the card.
Hmm, after clicking, there should be a request for a money charge for verification. Maybe your browser is glitching? Try using a different browser. If that doesn’t work, then there are two options: delete the card and try to add it again or write a request to support regarding the inability to verify the card. By the way, if it’s not a secret, which bank is your card from?
How can I verify it then? If I follow your description, it says that the card is already added. I tried to check my account, there is a verification check, but for some reason, nothing happens? Thank you in advance.
Maxim, for verification, there must be money on the card, as verification involves charging a test amount, which you then need to correctly enter on the Moneybookers site. Only after that is the card considered verified and available for withdrawals. If this was not done when adding the card, then it is definitely not verified. Check your account at moneybookers.com/app/manage_credit_cards.pl; there should be the word verified in the row with the card number.
Hello. I would like to know why I am having problems withdrawing money. I registered and created a VISA card linked to the site, but the withdrawal still doesn’t happen, why? Could it be because there was initially no money on the card? I just deposited, but still can’t withdraw.
Good afternoon, Maxim!
From what you’re saying, it seems that your card is not verified on Moneybookers. After linking the card to the account, it must pass verification by charging a trial amount and entering it. Until this procedure is completed, withdrawals are impossible.
One more question: I need to get a debit card from Sberbank. Do banks check if the registration is real or not? I am a citizen of the Russian Federation, but I do not have permanent registration, my registration has expired, and I don’t want to make a new legal one. If I buy a registration that won’t be in the UFMF database, will it work? Maybe you know of banks that don’t check?
For the lowest class debit cards like Electron, such a global verification is usually not conducted. Regarding the purchase of registration, I have no information, as I have not had such a problem with registration myself, so I haven’t been bothered with such schemes. In principle, usually, small banks are easier to deal with, as they try to attract any customer and tend to overlook some details, unlike giants like Sberbank, where everything is constrained by strict procedural frameworks, and any deviation is immediately stopped. Try checking with Sberbank; if that doesn’t work, then try smaller banks.
Hello! My name is Yuri. My name is registered in my passport as Yuru, I registered with Moneybookers using the same name. Now I will make a card to attach it to Moneybookers, and I will also write my name as Yuru, as everywhere, but is this spelling of my name in English correct? Will there be any problems?
Good afternoon!
In my opinion, there is an overlap with your name, as the pronunciation is clearly not maintained here. As for the card and Moneybookers, you will basically need the card number, expiration date, and CVV for deposits and withdrawals. The name is not processed during payments.
I think it’s unlikely they will redo your passport, as you can hardly get that from government agencies. However, at the bank, you can specify how your name should be written on the card, but in this case, don’t give them a copy of your passport; otherwise, they will overwrite the data from there anyway. In my opinion, your name in Latin letters should be Yuriy.
I deposited dollars into Moneybookers using a Mastercard from Alfabank; can I withdraw them back?
Thank you.
Viktor, you can withdraw everything you have in your Moneybookers account, but only to Visa payment system cards or to a bank account.
At the very beginning of the discussion, Dima asked why when withdrawing to a card, the card is inactive and requires reauthorization, although the card has already been verified and it clearly states in “my account” that the card is verified.
I have the same situation. I wrote a question to support, they replied in a couple of hours, in good Russian. Detailed and comprehensive.
I won’t quote it fully, the gist is that when connecting the card, if you intend to withdraw funds to it later, indicate that you are going to make gaming payments.
I don’t know what the connection is, but that was the support team’s response.
Yes, that’s the case.
Their support is really good; they replied to my two emails within a day, and in Russian! If you can’t withdraw money to your card, you first need to fund the card specifically for gaming purposes; if such funding goes through, then withdrawing to the card will be possible. However, I linked my bank account very quickly and made a withdrawal to it; the bank account is from the same card I used to deposit money into Moneybookers!
Hello, I tried to verify the card for withdrawals, but for some reason, I couldn’t do it three times. It was stated that I could try again in 24 hours, but more than 48 hours have passed, and it still says I cannot use this card. Please tell me how much longer I will have to wait or if I won’t be able to use this card anymore?
Good afternoon!
Was there any message about why the card isn’t verifying? Usually, verification doesn’t just fail out of nowhere.
In general, try writing to the support of the payment processors with a description of the situation and a question about the problem; they usually provide a clear answer as to why the refusal occurred.
Good afternoon! I have a question; the card is verified and I have deposited money from it, the address is confirmed! I am requesting a withdrawal, but they ask me to confirm the card again. I make the request, receive a 3D-Secure code, meaning my bank confirms the request, I enter the SMS password from the bank, and Moneybookers says there’s an error that the card is not confirmed. This happens three times; what’s the problem and how can I solve it? How do I withdraw money? Thank you for your answer)
Good afternoon!
It’s likely that 3D-Secure is not functioning properly on the acquiring bank’s side (that is, from the side of the payment processors). In this case, I would try a card from another bank; however, that’s a radical option. A simpler option would be to try resolving the issue with your bank regarding the cancellation of the 3D-Secure check during the transaction with the payment processors. At least something similar happened with PayPal a few years ago when the verification of the CVV code did not work correctly with certain banks. This was resolved by disabling verification during the PayPal transaction.
When withdrawing money to my Visa Electron card, it says on the side that the maximum withdrawal amount is 0.00, and when I enter any amount to withdraw, it says the maximum amount is equal to 0, making it impossible to withdraw money! Last week, I was able to withdraw money without issue, and the amount was 648 dollars.
Evgeny, all your outgoing transaction limits can be viewed on the page moneybookers.com/app/profile.pl?view=limits. If they are exhausted or insufficient, you will need to go through additional verification to increase your limits.
Hello!
I passed verification for my VISA Electron card,
It shows in my personal data that the card is verified.
There is money in the account.
I’m trying to withdraw funds, but the system won’t let me.
Do you know how long after verification I can withdraw funds?
Good afternoon, Sergey!
If the card is verified, you can immediately request to withdraw money to it.
Could you please tell me, when withdrawing money, it says the maximum withdrawal amount is 0.00, but I have 500 dollars in my account. Can I withdraw money???
Evgeny, where exactly does such a message appear for you?
Thank you for the response!
I will do just that.
Hello!
Does MB have an email address for customer support that I could contact with a question whose answer I couldn’t find in their standard responses? Calling is too costly. If not, where can I leave a message, as you say, “You can leave a message describing your problem for the Skrill support operator”? The problem is that when entering my card details, I made a mistake in writing my name – I mixed up some letters, but the card is linked, and the verification is not going through. I think the problem lies with the name. Can I change the card details?
Thank you in advance for your response.
Good afternoon!
Natalia, messages should be sent through the support center. They have a list of standard questions and answers and a form for writing non-standard queries. Usually, they respond to requests within 3-4 days.
By the way, if you specified your name incorrectly, it shouldn’t be an obstacle for card verification. The key details for a transaction are the number, three-digit code, and expiration date of the card. Check with your bank. They should have records in the transaction history for the card, even if there were unsuccessful verification attempts. If they have nothing, then write to MB and ask them to check; perhaps something did not go through.
Hello! Can you please advise me? Can I withdraw to my ruble account on demand?
The bank said that when funds arrive in dollars, they will convert it at the exchange rate and charge a commission of 1.75%, but no less than 50 rubles. How will Skrill treat the details of such an account?
Good afternoon!
In principle, if your bank has provided all the necessary details, there should be no problems with Skrill. The main issue is that the currencies differ, but as you mentioned, your bank does the conversion. For additional assurance, you can try making a test withdrawal of 10-20 dollars.
Hello! Could you please help me? I have a question about account verification. I understand that I first need to transfer money to the Moneybookers account and then transfer it to my bank account. If so, how can I fund my Moneybookers account? Can I wait until the microstocks transfer the amount to the MB account and use that amount for the verification process?
Good afternoon!
Yes, just wait for the funds to arrive from the stocks, and then you can withdraw to your bank account. Generally, the verification procedure concerns card accounts; regular accounts are simpler.
Everything has arrived!!! Thank you very much! ))))
And if the money still hasn’t arrived, who should I contact, the bank or the Moneybookers support service?!
Evgeny, try to check with your bank tomorrow. For example, I also requested a withdrawal last Thursday, and today the money hasn’t arrived yet. Check with your bank by the end of the day tomorrow. I believe starting from Thursday, you can look into the situation in more detail if the money hasn’t come.
Please tell me, based on your knowledge, I withdrew money on Thursday to my Visa Electron card in rubles, and the money still hasn’t arrived (the bank is Sberbank).
Typically, withdrawals take about 4 banking days. So in your case, you should expect it no earlier than Tuesday or Wednesday.
Oh, thanks a lot! After I sent you the message, I received a confirmation of my date of birth via email within 10 minutes. Thanks a lot for your help!
Good luck!
Could you please tell me, I still haven’t received a response regarding the documents. I sent them because my date of birth was incorrect. What should I do???
Could you please tell me if there is a possibility to withdraw money from Moneybookers to a ruble Visa Electron card?
Here’s the situation: this card successfully passed the verification for topping up the Moneybookers account, the commission was charged, and the account was topped up in euros (even though the card is in rubles). I decided to withdraw a trial amount, and the transaction history says “withdrawal processed,” but the money hasn’t arrived on the card. Will the currency be converted automatically, or will I have to open a card or account in the currency for the withdrawal?
It all depends on the correctness of your bank’s settings. Judging by the fact that you were able to top up your Moneybookers account with the card, the conversion is supported by your bank. Usually, such transactions go smoothly, but there are usually additional losses from the conversion fee.
If it’s already been about four working days since you requested the payout, I would recommend contacting your bank to find out what the delay is about. In one bank, I encountered a refusal to credit funds to the card that arrived in a different currency. But that situation was different, as the money came via SWIFT and needed to be credited to the card manually.
Can you please tell me how much time should pass before they change my date of birth!! I sent my passport 2 days ago???
I can’t say for sure, as I entered my data correctly from the start. However, I once sent a request to remove my card from their database, and they did it within four days. I think if there are no changes within a week, then you need to find out what’s going on.
I sent it to them. Can you tell me, will I receive a reply by email or where???
Write them a request in support regarding the sent scans.
And one more thing: if I change my date of birth, they ask for identification. Can I provide a copy of my passport???
Well, if everything else is correct, then send them a copy of your passport.
When withdrawing, they ask for my date of birth. I enter it, but it’s incorrect. What can be done??
Will they be able to tell me this arbitrary amount in dollars if my card is in rubles????
Yes, they display the transaction amount in the currency in which it was made, and in the currency in which your account is opened.
Can they tell me this transaction amount in dollars?
Can you please tell me I have a Visa Electron card in rubles, an arbitrary amount was deducted from me, I went to my bank to find out what amount was deducted, but the bank said that I didn’t make any transactions. Maybe the information hasn’t reached them yet or what, please help!!!
Yes, if 3-4 days haven’t passed yet, they might not see this data. At least those operators who are servicing you. Initially, the amount is just blocked, and often, the operators won’t see anything on their statements.
But! The bank has a processing center where all information is displayed online. Try calling the numbers printed on the back of the card and clarify the information regarding the transaction you need. If they are being evasive, ask them just to tell you what amount is blocked (don’t forget that you need the amount in dollars).
When I worked in banks, employees from the card management would provide me with information about the blocked amount just a couple of minutes after my call.
Thank you for your help! I made a transfer available through a minimal payment by bank transfer – via Swift payment – withdrew everything cleanly, paying 2 units for that. Now I will wait! At first, I thought that since I could easily deposit money with my card, I could also easily withdraw it to it… But since that’s how it turns out, apparently Moneybookers is not for me yet….
I still had 2.40 left after the first verification, and now it’s 15.40.. I write to tech support, and they are silent too – it’s an international banking system… We have various scams, and they complain, but they freeze the money and provide no tech support…. In LiqPay, in the unified wallet, no problems, but these scammers wait for me to type my fingers on the forums….(
Dmitry, their support usually responds within 3-4 days. Wait for their response to understand what the problem is, as, judging by what you wrote, your card is verified, but some requirement of the system might not be met.
We will assign a verification fee of USD 2.69, which will be charged to your credit card and recorded on your Skrill (Moneybookers) account. Please enter your credit card details below:
CVV2/CVC2
The last 3 digits on the back of your card
I hereby declare that I am the owner of the above credit/debit card and authorize Moneybookers Ltd. to charge the verification fee of USD 2.69 from my credit card.
Instant authorization. After authorizing your credit card, we will record the amount in your Skrill (Moneybookers) account within seconds. I agree to their terms, and then a request goes to my bank, which gives a positive response to Moneybookers, but they write a rejection….. I’m thinking maybe I should withdraw to a bank account, but I’m short half a dollar – do I need to top it up to withdraw? As for the address, I don’t know – they don’t notify me that I need to send them scans or anything else…

Perhaps you have not verified your registered address?
Hello, great article. Could you please tell me if you have transferred money from your Moneybookers account to another user’s account? Are there any hidden pitfalls? I need to send money to a friend in America. I have money in Moneybookers, do I need to worry about withdrawing it to a card in Ukraine, then sending it to my friend’s bank account? That seems like unnecessary fees. Wouldn’t it be easier for him to register there and send money that way? … Thank you.
Good afternoon!
Yes, I sent transfers within Moneybookers a couple of times last year. Everything reaches instantly. I didn’t see any hidden pitfalls. There is a standard fee, and that’s it. I regularly receive money in my accounts in the photo banks – these are essentially transfers within the system from account to account.
I believe sending this way would be much cheaper for you than transferring through cards.
Hello!
I have two pressing questions for you:
1) I withdraw money through Moscow Industrial Bank to a book, so they can’t trace where the transfer comes from, whether it’s commercial or not, and they charge me hefty fees (about 500 rubles for 130$) as if it’s a commercial transfer just because they can’t find it… what are they looking for? Since when has a virtual account become commercial? In general, clarify whether I should pay these fees? And what percentage should I pay at all? For these reasons, I recently got a plastic “Visa Classic” card from them, and then new problems started… moving on to question №2
2) When trying to verify the long-awaited “Visa Classic” card (I hoped it would solve my fee problem!), Moneybookers began requesting some code! Verified by Visa, I’m not even talking about this code… in general.. I entered it… and what do you think? Nothing happened! Tell me, would it be easier to throw away this card and get another one from a different bank and link it to it, or can I still try my luck with this one? I would be very grateful for any explanations, thank you!
Good afternoon, Kristina!
1) Yes, there is such a practice with banks that don’t align with common sense. You should cease any relationship with such banks immediately. As I understood from your words, either they or their system could not determine the nature of the transfer. However, the SWIFT payment clearly indicates where the money came from. Regarding whether you should pay this commission, I cannot say anything because it needs to be checked in the contract and tariffs and what’s written there. But in the banks I have worked with, if there were any misunderstandings, they simply got a written explanation from the client regarding the nature of such a transfer, which they attached to the case. But, I never paid any commercial fees.
2) The code that Moneybookers requests is usually on the back of the card on the right side of the signature strip. It’s three digits. Some banks, to protect the client from fraud, don’t print this code during card production. In that case, you need to contact the bank and demand its provision. Though I know a couple of cases when, upon such a request, the bank imposed a countercondition that the card was not intended for online transactions, and the client had to open a special internet card. Nonsense, promoted under the banner of maximum safety for client funds. When you add the card to Moneybookers, you need to pay attention to what message is displayed. If the card is not added, then some message appears on the page. If the card is added to your list of cards in Moneybookers, then you need to verify it by making a trial deposit to Moneybookers. I wouldn’t throw away the card, but I would be extremely cautious since, judging by the situation with the transfer to this bank, I wouldn’t be surprised if they impose additional fees upon receiving payments on the card. So, you might as well try to add the card; perhaps everything will be fine in the future?
Can someone recommend a reliable exchanger where I can exchange Moneybookers for Svyaznoy, VTB24, or any Visa/MasterCard (all in rubles, of course)?
Alexander, why not simply withdraw money from Moneybookers to your card? It’s straightforward, quick, and without risk.
As far as I’ve heard, Moneybookers does not encourage the exchange of their currencies and blocks accounts when such cases are detected.
Please advise, when withdrawing funds to a card in the local currency, is there also a conversion? As far as I know, the bank automatically converts when topping up, and the service from which the withdrawal is made should carry out the conversion. Or do I need to open a currency account to withdraw funds?
Good afternoon, please tell me I have a Visa Electron card in rubles, and I want to verify it. It says that for verification there is a charge from 1 to 2.99 dollars. I have 200 rubles on the card to top up the Moneybookers account, but the commission is high + conversion. Will 200 rubles be enough?? My Moneybookers account is in dollars??
The currency of your account is determined by you when opening an account with the brokers. Usually, it’s either euros or dollars. Log into your account and check your profile to see which currency it is. To verify with the brokers, an amount of 200 rubles will be sufficient (that’s about 6.5 dollars), even considering possible bank conversion fees.
Thank you very much for the information!
Please tell me I have 1290 dollars in my account! But my limit says 1254 dollars is left. Can I still top up the account??? Please advise?
Yes, if it says 1254 dollars, it means you can deposit that amount within the next 90 days. However, you can also request to increase the limit if necessary.
Hello! Could you please tell me if there is a general support email for Moneybookers? The problem is that the money has not reached my Bookers account, although it was sent three weeks ago (the sender is verified, this is the 3rd transfer from him). The email for the account is verified, as is the bank card – I have already withdrawn money. I couldn’t find such a question in the FAQ section, nor any addresses to write to for non-standard problems.
Good afternoon!
Alex, all requests must be sent through the Support section – moneybookers.com/app/faqmessaging.pl?node_id=1467. There is a field for entering your request, and usually, you receive a response within a couple of days after sending.
But I got the Visa Electron card from Sberbank; this bank shouldn’t restrict online transactions??? If you know, please tell me?
I haven’t heard any complaints about Sberbank, but just to be safe, try adding the card and requesting a trial withdrawal ($10-20) to it in the bookers.
Good day, could you please tell me if a Visa Electron card is suitable for withdrawing money from Moneybookers???
Hello!
Yes, it will work if your bank does not restrict online transactions for Electron cards. I have withdrawn from the bookers without any issues to Electron cards.
Good afternoon. Visa Classic card (verified in e-wallets). I ordered a withdrawal to the card. I received a message that a transfer of 10 euros has been received, but my balance has not changed. That is, there is a history of transactions, but the money is not in my account statement, and the balance remains the same. The question is: is the money stuck somewhere or has the bank blocked it? The card is in rubles; could this be the problem?
Good afternoon!
Did you receive a message about the transfer from the bank? If it’s from the bank, then you need to find out what the problem is. In this case, there are several possibilities: the transfer came, but due to the difference in currencies, they cannot credit it to the card; the transfer came, was credited to the card, but the balance in the bank’s processing center hasn’t updated yet.
Or did you receive a message from the bookers that they send after a withdrawal request is placed? If so, then you need to wait about 4 banking days for the money to be credited to the card.
Thank you for your response! I asked this question to customer support on the website, and here’s what they replied: your card does not work for withdrawals, only for deposits (apparently because I carelessly indicated non-gaming purposes during registration). Now they offer me to top up my Skrill account from my card for any amount and specify “for gaming purposes” (although I do not intend to play), and only then will I be able to withdraw money. But when I tried to do this, I received a response that the operation failed. I suspect there is a problem with my bank (Privatbank in Ukraine). They probably don’t allow transactions or even release money for withdrawals (I found this information on a forum, and the reviews about this bank are not very good). In general, I probably need to change banks 🙁
I doubt that you can do it with the card as they describe without removing it from the database. I once carelessly indicated during the card addition that it was for non-gaming purposes, and then nothing worked until I wrote to support to have the card removed from the database so I could add it again. When I deleted the card from my account myself and tried to add it again, I received a message that such a card was already registered, even though it was not displayed in my account.
As for Privatbank, I’ve seen quite a few messages that they started restricting Ukrainian clients’ transactions for withdrawals from e-wallets this autumn, requiring them to provide a written service contract and justifying this with legal requirements. In general, they do what they want.
Can you please tell me what the problem might be? I verified my card on Moneybookers (received a message that my card is now verified 11 days ago). But today, when I wanted to withdraw money from Moneybookers to this card, they are again requiring me to verify the card in the same way, saying that they will charge $2.63 from my card, and then my card will be verified for withdrawal, and they are asking for the CVV code again.
Natalia, you are probably mistaken. If you have properly verified the card, then I assume that when you made the withdrawal request, on that same page, the Moneybookers commission amount, which is approximately 1.8 euros (in dollars at the cross rate), is indicated. Additionally, during withdrawal, there is always a request for the CVV code and date of birth. So, everything is normal.
Good evening, here is the situation: I registered on the gaming portal, money was accepted without problems via Moneybookers-Skrill and from Visa and Yandex.Money. Now I want to withdraw, but they require address verification. I am currently in Moscow, and all operations were conducted here, but my registration is in Ukraine. What documents do I need to provide to confirm my actual address since I am just passing through? My account is blocked.
Hmm, they don’t like that: when the address is from one country but the user connects from another country. You could try sending them a clarification letter and attach scans of your registration address, along with scans of your migration card (where your entry into Russia is marked). Ask what else is required to confirm your identity.
In principle, if the money in your account hasn’t been stuck, you might try contacting the administration of the gaming portal, explain the problem to them, and see if they can help you withdraw money to another account in Moneybookers or directly to your card while you sort things out with Moneybookers?
And also, could you please tell me the Moneybookers nickname on Skype?
I can’t help with Skype. I know that a few years ago, there was such an option. Now it seems nothing has changed, although the Skype contact has been removed from the site… I read somewhere on the internet that they direct users from the CIS to phone contacts or through email or the system’s website…
Hello. Could you please tell me what the difference is between a “card for gaming purposes” and a “card for non-gaming purposes”?
Good afternoon! Usually, for gaming purposes, it implies the ability to use the card for deposits and withdrawals from various casinos, bookmakers, etc. It’s better to choose this option to avoid any restrictions.
Yes, the verification was successful, thank you, I am waiting for the transfer to be completed.
Thank you very much, the problem was that I set the card for non-gaming purposes. The transaction was completed, but the money hasn’t arrived for the second day… Can you tell me when I set a Visa Electron card, does it show up in the menu as Visa or with the word Electron? I just realized that I might not have specified the card type… although it’s strange that the verification was successful.
No, it just shows Visa, since it is the same payment system. Money won’t show up. This is card verification, and the essence of it is that you need to find out from your bank how much was charged to the card in dollars and then enter that amount in your Moneybookers account; there will be a special field for entering the verification amount. If everything is okay, this amount will appear in your balance, and the card will be verified for use.
Hello, I am going through the operation: IDENTITY VERIFICATION USING A CREDIT/DEBIT CARD, 136 rubles are on the card. The service promises to withdraw 2.59 USD from the card. After verification via SMS through the Sberbank website, Moneybookers shows: “Your attempt to fund your credit/debit card account for confirmation in the amount of USD 2.59 was unsuccessful.” I would like to know, was the transaction canceled by Sberbank or was there simply not enough money on the card?
Most likely, Sberbank is blocking due to a lack of funds. Since your card is in rubles, the attempts at blocking are made at the conversion rate set by the bank, which is often quite high. In any case, to know for sure, call customer support and find out the reason for the refusal. It could be much simpler—maybe you have online transactions closed?
Good day! Could you please tell me what the limit for outgoing transactions is? I tried to earn something a year and a half ago, but now I accidentally found old records, opened them, and saw that I have a certain amount on this limit in Skrill.
Good day!
The outgoing transaction limit shows the amount you can withdraw from your Moneybookers (Skrill) account balance in the next 90 days.
Unfortunately, I cannot verify my Visa card from the Moscow Industrial Bank (although a similar card went through without problems last autumn). But this time, there is a silly obstacle in the form of a 3D password “Verified by Visa,” and that’s where the matter stands. The transaction does not go through “Verified by Visa,” and that’s it… even though the password is entered correctly… I wrote to Moneybookers and called the bank, but so far, everything is in vain…
As far as I know, the problem is usually resolved on the bank’s side by temporarily disabling VbV.
Hello again))) The last transaction, the deduction of funds that I ordered, is reflected in Moneybookers… but the thing is, they are not on my card… Could this be related to the bank’s weekend (I use a small local bank), or should I go there on Monday to figure out what the problem is?
Good day!
Dmitry, if at least 5 business (banking, weekends not counted) days have passed since you ordered the withdrawal on Moneybookers and the money is still not there, then you need to investigate.
It’s pointless to do so earlier. As I mentioned before, this is due to the peculiarities of processing such transactions.
Hello. Please help me, I registered, linked my Visa card there, verified it, and topped up my account… After that, I replenished the BK account through Moneybookers, withdrew a large sum from BK to Moneybookers the next day, and requested a withdrawal from Moneybookers to Visa (it’s my first time). It has already been a day, and the money hasn’t arrived. What could be the reason? Is it because this is my first withdrawal?
Good day, Dmitry!
Withdrawals to the card are processed within 4-5 business days. This is due to the specifics of transaction processing in the Visa payment system. You should start worrying if the money is not on the card by next Wednesday.
Could you please advise – “you need to choose an option for gaming purposes” – is that mandatory? If I don’t intend to play, but just want to use money transfers from Shutterstock? And if it is mandatory, could this somehow negatively affect me (for example, questions from the tax office or other agencies)? Thank you!
It’s better to choose it. There’s no difference for the tax office and other agencies in what you indicate on the bookers.
Hello! I have a Visa Classic from Sberbank (in rubles), it is linked to PayPal for making purchases. Should I link it to Moneybookers or would it be better to get another one? Please advise. Best regards.
Good day! In principle, it doesn’t really matter and isn’t prohibited. However, considering that it’s in rubles, it would be better to open an account in dollars or euros and get a corresponding card to avoid losing money on conversions.
Hello, could you please tell me the details of the eBay seller verification procedure on Moneybookers, and do I need it at all in my case? I do not plan to trade, but I need to completely get rid of the limits. The website states that there are no limits for eBay. It seems I registered on eBay, and the phrase “active” and “update marker” appeared next to eBay on Moneybookers, but it does not say that there are no limits from now on. I verified both the card and the account, as well as the address, but the card limit remains at $1838, and the outgoing transaction limit remains at $9700. If I need to withdraw $20000, will I have to wait 2 months or not? And if I fully verify eBay, will everything be fine? Thank you.
Good day!
If you need to withdraw money from Moneybookers, then the outgoing transaction limit is important for you. This is set for 90 days, not 60.
To increase limits, in addition to verifying as a seller, you can also try sending a request to support regarding increasing the limits. They may request scans of documents or certified copies, and if everything is fine, they might increase the limit by about $10,000. But in general, with these verification manipulations, you can raise the limit to around $25K for 90 days. If you need larger limits, then either verify as a seller or get VIP membership with Moneybookers, which raises the limit to $50K-60K or higher. Another option is to try ordering a card from them and withdraw from it…
Hello! I heard that during the verification of the bank account in MB, there might be some problems receiving the verification code. Please tell me, can I make this first trial transfer via online banking? Can the internet banking system send the verification code, or can this only be found out from the “paper” payment receipt from the bank?
Good afternoon!
In principle, the payment data in the information provided by online banking is usually displayed and you can obtain the necessary information without problems. Although there are banks with incorrect settings, this is generally the exception.
Hello, my account has been blocked, and I was asked to send documents confirming my identity and address. They also wrote that if I do not send the documents within 21 days, my account will be blocked, what does that mean? Is it already blocked, or do they mean that I will never be able to withdraw money?
Emil, was the reason for the blockage indicated? If nothing illegal has been conducted there, just send them the scans…
Thank you for your response. The thing is, I have the maximum limit and can’t increase it any further. It would be convenient if there were some sort of day counter available somewhere.
Well, as an option, you can roughly estimate by looking at the transaction history. By the way, there is an option for VIPs with large volumes: http://www.moneybookers.com/vip/
Has anyone encountered the issue of reaching the 90-day limit for withdrawing money? What should I do in this case? Where can I find out when this 90-day limit expires?
It’s hard to say, I haven’t been able to withdraw my limit yet. As far as I understand, this limit is floating. For example, you have a 90-day limit of $1000. Today you withdraw $500, and in 20 days, another $500. After that, for another 70 days, the limit will be zero, then it will become $500, and in 20 days, if no withdrawals are made, it will return to $1000.
To increase the limit, as I mentioned earlier, additional verifications are required, and you also need to submit a request to support for the need to raise the limit.
Thank you =)
Heh – it’s me again =)
I’ll probably have to get a card and link it (or whatever) to Moneybookers. Since I need to withdraw some money from another bookmaker and then transfer it to the exchange. It will be easier to do through Moneybookers. But I have a question.
In the bookmaker where I need to withdraw the money, the account and hence the money are in EUR. And the account on the exchange is in $. Attention, respected experts on the subject =)
The card I will open should be:
Options for answers:
1. In rubles
2. In dollars
3. In euros
4. Anyway, in rubles, and the currency will be converted automatically.
5. My own answer.
A minute has passed… Beep. Time’s up.
The answer is – the girl in red… =)
P.S. Oh, and I’ve bothered you.
Counter question: isn’t there an option in the bookmaker where the money is now to withdraw to the Moneybookers account? That way you can withdraw and transfer it further wherever needed. If you do it through the brokers, for example, if the account with the brokers is in dollars, and the transfer is in euros, then the amount will be converted automatically.
Regarding the card. It’s better to open it in the currency that will be used most often to save on conversions. If everything is processed correctly at the bank, then when money is credited to the card, everything will be converted automatically. You should find out the conversion rate and bank fees at the bank.
Thank you.
Oh, I forgot to ask. Does Moneybookers work with debit VISA cards or only with credit ones?
With any, both debit and credit, of the Visa payment system
I have MosOblBank nearby. 100 meters from home. They might shut it down, and where would I look for it then? Probably better to go with Sberbank.
Thank you very much. I still don’t rule out that for ‘general development’ I will open a Moneybookers account. =)
Good luck!
Well, you can do it right away with the card. Without Moneybookers. =)
But you still need to get a card.
Is it worth it to deal with Sberbank if I’m opening a card with them?
You can top up from the card directly, but such a top-up may fall under the gambling category, which some banks are not very fond of. However, if done directly, it might save you some on the fees of the brokers.
In principle, Sberbank cards are no worse than others. Although, I use cards from a small bank, which resolves issues faster.
So, when you open a card, do you not need any tax forms or other paperwork?
How do you open a card? =) I can open cars, certain women – but I haven’t opened a card =)
Is the card called Moneybookers MasterCard? It says on the website – Only for residents of the EU.
No, you need to open a card in your own bank. To open a regular, non-credit card, you will only need a passport. Please note that you should open a Visa card. Tax documents and other paperwork will be needed to obtain a credit card.
Moneybookers MasterCard is a card issued by Moneybookers for its users. With this card, you can only use the funds that will already be in your Moneybookers account.
I need Moneybookers for betting exchange. The available funding options are as follows: promo.betfair.com/CEE/payments/rupayment.html
I don’t have a card and cannot obtain one since I haven’t officially worked for a long time. I heard that to obtain a card, you need to provide an income statement (or am I mistaken?) Therefore, cards are out of the question.
I hate Webmoney. Such a convoluted system, only our people could come up with this. I tried to register; everything ended unsuccessfully with the installation of Kiperclassic and an unsuitable code. I’ve just given up on Webmoney.
So the options left are either bank transfer or Moneybookers. Bank transfers are expensive for both deposit and withdrawal. But Moneybookers essentially ends up being the same. Not in terms of commission, of course (I understand it should be cheaper with Moneybookers?), but in terms of needing to make a bank transfer. After all, if I understand correctly, to withdraw or deposit money with Moneybookers, I will have to go to the bank and make a transfer.
What a mess in my head =)
It can be simpler with payment processors. You can either get a card for yourself or ask someone you know to open one for you, deposit the necessary amount onto the card, verify it in your payment processor account, and then top up easily through your computer whenever needed.
You will only need to go to the bank when you need to top up the card. You can also withdraw winnings onto this card. Furthermore, the payment processors do not check if the person opening the account is the same as the person opening the card (I mean, the card can be opened by someone you know).
Hello. I have questions. Please help.
1. Did I understand correctly that when replenishing Moneybookers from a bank account, the bank does not charge a fee? It is only charged when withdrawing money from Moneybookers to the bank account?
Replenishment – Bank transfer – is free and takes from 2 to 5 days. Withdrawal of funds – Bank transfer – the commission for the transfer will be 1.8 euros.
This is the Moneybookers commission, but is there no bank commission mentioned? What commission will there be, for example, at Sberbank?
2. Is it possible to deposit money through a terminal to Moneybookers? What is the commission?
Good afternoon!
1. Each bank has its own fees, and of course, the payment processors are not aware of them. All the fees listed on their website are strictly the payment processors’ fees. For information on bank fees, please call the call center or visit the nearest branch; they should be able to help.
2. I haven’t encountered such an option through a terminal. I doubt there’s anything like that.
Hello! Could you please tell me where the verification amount should arrive?
Good afternoon! If verification is done with a card, then you need to check with your bank what amount was charged from your card. After successful verification, this amount will be reflected in Moneybookers on your account balance.
From my side, I did everything, i.e., from the bank’s side, but I just got stuck with the fact that the support in Moneybookers does not want to deal with me at all – they just stay silent. The money did not arrive at the bank, but it was deducted from the Moneybookers account (all fixed with screenshots). It’s funny that I have withdrawn money to the card after that, but somehow not from the account. All I need is not to be ignored, to get replies to my emails, and then the money might just be found. But it seems they are not going to look for it.
Honestly, I must say that I have faced situations when they are incredibly slow, but for them to freeze me out like this is a first.
Even worse now, when I want to resolve the issue with my missing withdrawal, the Moneybookers system responds that I never requested a withdrawal. Now I can confidently say that Moneybookers are nothing but scammers—they simply stole the money from my wallet. Stay away from them!!!
Good afternoon, Oleg!
It’s hard to comment since I haven’t encountered such a situation while working with payment systems. Usually, support provides assistance in tracking payments, and most often, issues arise on the side of the receiving (your) bank.
My problem is that I requested a withdrawal to my account on February 1st of this year, 2012. The funds were deducted from Moneybookers immediately, but the money hasn’t arrived in my account, and the most important thing is that support is stubbornly silent and refuses to answer any questions. Is this highly praised payment system really trying to scam me out of my $730? If so, then…..
Is re-verification required after a year? I can’t understand anything—I’ve been able to withdraw money to a verified account all year, and now suddenly they tell me that re-verification is needed, and now only one option is offered, unlike the three options available when I first registered—only through a postal address! What kind of scam is this? Support isn’t responding..
Usually, nothing is required. Such requests for additional verification occur when they have doubts about your operations. However, I, for example, verified my postal address from the very beginning, but I might have had to confirm it again after some time. But, I’ve had no other verifications required for almost three years now.
From your table, it is clear that the WITHDRAWAL of money from Moneybookers to both a card and an account costs the same – 1.80 euros. It’s more profitable to withdraw to a card because it’s faster under the same conditions.
I’m interested in the DEPOSIT of money because the table shows that funding from a bank ACCOUNT is free, while from a payment card it’s 1.9%. Is this information accurate?
I also saw somewhere that they don’t verify bank accounts for us (Russia). Is this true? What does that mean for us?
I’ve been dealing with Moneybookers for two weeks now: 1) my address verification hasn’t gone through yet – I haven’t received the letter, 2) I need to transfer money through Moneybookers in different currencies; I didn’t know you could only do it in one, and mistakenly clicked euros during the account verification, now I’m kicking myself wishing I had chosen dollars instead. I’ll be losing a lot on currency conversion.
Elena, please note that when depositing money into Moneybookers, there is also a fee from your bank. Typically, when paying with a card, if the currency of the account matches, your bank won’t charge you anything, and some banks even provide cashback of 0.5-1% on your payment. However, when sending a transfer from a regular account to a Moneybookers account, you will need to pay a fee to your bank, which can be quite significant. In the best-case scenario, it’s 1% (but not less than $10-15), and in some banks, it can be much higher. Therefore, the 1.9% fee for funding via card is completely offset by the bank fee.
I’m hearing for the first time about a ban on verifying bank accounts. I know that PayPal has certain restrictions for us, but I doubt Moneybookers does.
Regarding the account currency, try sending a request to support; there might be a way to change it. Although I’m not sure, it’s worth a shot.
You know, I just tried again to withdraw money to my card – and it worked! The limit was enough, and I was foolishly waiting for 2 months. So thank you very much! It seems like such a small thing, but in the end, it was exactly what I needed. I probably won’t need to verify the bank account now. The main problem is solved, so thank you very much!
Well, I have read that for a long time, the address and card are verified, but I just can’t do anything with the bank. I’m just afraid that if I open a new bank account, they won’t understand what and how to do. So I’ll probably have to write to support. I don’t have any documents besides the address, so it probably won’t work, that’s why I’m stuck on the bank account. I just thought maybe you verified it yourself, then it would be easier to understand what and where to write from those details; there are just a lot of lines, and the bank doesn’t understand anything, but it seems that I need to contact the Moneybookers directly. Thank you very much for the answers; at least I figured out something!
I have a currency account in Alfa-Bank, but I don’t have a card yet, so I would like to know if there is any difference in transferring money to Moneybookers from a bank ACCOUNT or a bank CARD? Well, in terms of percentage or duration of the transfer… Or should I order a card?
Elena, it’s better to open a card and withdraw to it. The main advantage of the account is higher withdrawal limits compared to the card. The commission for withdrawing to the account is the same as for the card. But, usually, payments to a card arrive faster than to the account. Also, if you replenish your Moneybookers account from the account, the commission will be much higher than from the card.
Please note that Moneybookers only works with Visa cards.
Oh, and should I write the message to support in English?
Thank you very much for the advice! I will try to contact support. I have a couple more questions about verifying the bank account. Can you please tell me what exactly I need to specify in the details? On the Moneybookers site, there’s the bank address + SWIFT + IBAN + sort code, and I also need my account ID plus their account number. The bank was all confused and didn’t know where to put all this data. And the biggest problem was indicating the purpose of the payment; I said “bank account verification” — that seems to have been my mistake. But I just don’t know what to tell them so that they can send the payment without issues.
In their support, there were also Russian-speaking operators, so you can try writing in Russian. By the way, here is an excerpt from their rules regarding increasing limits:
“How can I increase my limits?
You can increase your limits by verifying one of the following things:
1) Your bank account
2) Your address
3) Your credit/debit card
Verification can be done by different options available. Please go to your Skrill (Moneybookers) account and click on “View limits” in order to see and increase your account limits.”
Regarding the bank, also clarify with the Moneybookers support what to write in the purpose of the payment from your bank account. IBAN is actually the account number for Moneybookers. Most likely, the sort code is your account identifier, which needs to be indicated in the purpose. Usually, in the purpose, something like “private payment to ID ….” is written. Although, in my opinion, it is much simpler to verify the address and documents.
Hmm, I haven’t tried writing to support, but if I do, they will probably start asking for documents that I don’t have? I understand that the limits are calculated for a specific period. But I just don’t know what to do when they expire. The bank told me that they don’t understand why this payment is being made, that the bank has no right to verify the account, etc. They didn’t mention any documents, just said that they couldn’t make this transaction.
If you are sending from a bank account, you simply provide the bank with the details for the SWIFT payment. The fact that account verification is being conducted should not concern the bank at all. They should just comply with all regulatory requirements for the transaction.
Just write to support that you want to increase the withdrawal limit and ask what is required for that. Then wait for their response.
The limit usually resets after the specified period.
And regarding the limit increase, I confirmed my home address a long time ago, but I’m not sure about the other documents. Since I am not officially employed and don’t have a driver’s license, what should I send them?
Angela, have you tried writing to support to increase your limit?
All limits specified in your account are calculated for a specific time period. By the way, pay attention that they have limits on deposits and withdrawals; usually, the deposit limit is lower than the withdrawal limit, and new users often confuse them.
What did your bank say, and what was their reasoning for the refusal? Did they reference any document?
I have had my card linked for a long time, but the problem is that 650 dollars is not enough for me. They tell me my limit is about 900 dollars, is that for two months or in total? I’m completely confused. Today I went to the bank to fill out a payment request via SWIFT because I need to verify my bank account. And nothing worked, they returned the money to me and said they can’t perform such transactions. Now I don’t even know if it’s possible to link the account to Moneybookers. It seems like it would be much more convenient to withdraw any amounts at any time, right? Thank you very much for the response, as I am completely at a loss. When I went to Moneybookers and clicked “verify bank account,” they told me I need to send at least five euros from it to Moneybookers for verification, and then I can use it. But I can’t do that. And I read online (in your blog too) that you need to send money from Moneybookers to the bank account, but they require something else from me…
And I have another question, can I withdraw funds to the card only once every two months? It’s just that some miserable 500-600 dollars can’t even be withdrawn every month, which is very inconvenient. That’s why I decided to link a bank account so that I could withdraw any amount every month, right? Thank you!
Why only once every two months? You can withdraw as much as your limit allows. Just a single withdrawal usually doesn’t exceed 650 dollars. But you can make multiple requests. For example, if you have 1200 dollars in your account, you make one withdrawal request for 650 dollars and then another. The main thing is that the limit is sufficient. And if your withdrawal limit to the card is not enough, then you can increase it. I wrote on my blog about how to increase limits. You need to send scans of your documents, etc.
Good afternoon! Please help me figure out the verification of my bank account. I successfully registered it with Moneybookers, but now I am stuck. I need to send about 10 dollars to my bank account, but the bank told me that I need to pay 30 dollars for this. I am just horrified, why such a fee? And as I understood, finding the verification code is quite a problem, as the bank employees do not even know what Moneybookers is. So I don’t even know what to do or where to turn. And one more question, can I open an account at any bank or is there a specific one? I have an account in “Forum” bank, I don’t know if it will work. I will sincerely appreciate any advice, thank you in advance.
I didn’t quite understand, are you sending 10 dollars from Moneybookers to your account and your bank charges you 30 dollars? Is that their commission for depositing money? As far as I know, banks usually have high commission rates for sending money via SWIFT, but receiving is different.
Angela, why don’t you want to open a card?
I started to set up the card and accidentally entered the wrong expiration date. How can I correct this?
Remove the card and add it again. If you get a message saying that the card is already added when trying to add it again, then write to support requesting to delete this card number from the database, and then try to add it again.
I tried to register a card (Cashcard from Credit Europe Bank), but the card doesn’t have an expiration date and doesn’t have my name. Now Moneybookers shows this error: DEPOSIT FROM CREDIT/DEBIT CARD IS NOT POSSIBLE. You will not be able to use your credit/debit card for 24 hours.
This restriction cannot be lifted by you or our Customer Service. Please try again tomorrow or use another payment method. Will I be able to verify such a card?
I haven’t encountered this problem. Try again in 24 hours. You can find out the card’s expiration date from the bank that issued the card.
What is the relationship between Moneybookers and Expobank? I read that this was the bank they sold, not them, but their bank Barclays. If I open an account at Espo, will it improve my relationship with Moneybookers, or the opposite?
I want to clarify that Barclays is the servicing bank for Moneybookers. It’s possible that when Barclays was part of the ownership, it was easier for money transfers; now, definitely, there will be no difference.
Hello.
I managed to withdraw on the first attempt, but I was puzzled by the amount that came to my card. I withdrew 102 euros to my ruble Visa from Sberbank. I received 2800 rubles; given all possible commissions, the amount should be higher. It feels like 1000 rubles got lost somewhere 🙂
Could you tell me what this might be related to?
Thank you.
You need to get a statement from Sberbank and check:
1) the amount of commission upon crediting and conversion fees. They can reach up to 2% of the credited amount.
2) find out what exchange rate was used for conversion and how it was converted. Some banks first convert to dollars and then to rubles, which results in double conversion. Very often, the conversion rates are worse than at exchange offices.
3) for the future, if you will be withdrawing money frequently, it’s better to open a card in euros to avoid such misunderstandings.
Oh, super! Thank you for such a detailed response. And one more little question:)) When I get connected to the internet banking system, a special envelope with TAN keys is issued, and one key can be used only once for a single transaction. What if, for example, I run out of these keys at some point? How do I add new ones? Is it possible? (I just can’t imagine how many they issue) I heard that I need to use some kind of program that creates new TAN keys. Or can I add them directly at the bank?
Anastasia, it’s better to ask your bank. When I connected with one of the banks, they gave me a key generator in the form of a small keychain. There were no limitations. I believe something similar should exist in your bank since one-time keys are usually the cheapest option offered to customers when connecting to such services. Even if you need more one-time keys, I believe your bank wouldn’t refuse to organize that for you because it’s their income: the more transactions you have, the more profit they make.
Good day)) It’s me again. I have a question about withdrawing funds from Moneybookers: if I withdraw funds to my current bank account and use the personal bank system (i.e., managing my current bank account online), will I be able to transfer funds from my current account to my card online so that I can withdraw from the ATM later? Will I be able to use this option to avoid going to the bank every time to submit a request for withdrawing a specific amount from my current account? Is this system safe, or is it better to go to the bank?
Good night, Anastasia!
Of course, you can make transfers between your accounts in the internet banking system. There’s nothing wrong with that. Most such systems are properly secured and safe to use, especially if external key generators are used for user authentication… If you only have a regular login and password for accessing internet banking, then don’t forget to take precautions to prevent their leakage, and everything will be fine with your money.
I want to pay for an order through Moneybookers on Taobao. I only know the recipient’s email. I don’t know the username. How can I transfer money to their account?
Alexandra, is it not possible to request the recipient’s name via their email? By the way, if my memory serves me right, I once sent money to another person, and I entered a rough name, and it seemed that the transfer went through. As far as I understand, the main identifier for Moneybookers is the email.
Try entering something randomly in the name field when sending the transfer (for example, part of the email before the @), it might go through? Although this is a risky approach in terms of disputing the transfer and refunding money in case of a failed purchase or dishonesty from the seller.
Thanks for the answers
One more question: What is the Moneybookers MasterCard, and is it worth ordering?
I didn’t see much point in ordering their MasterCard. The main advantage is the direct linking of the card to the Moneybookers account and the ability to withdraw money without revealing transactions from a local bank account. So, to avoid the watchful eye of various fiscal authorities at the local level, this card is quite useful.
As for ATM withdrawals, it’s 1.8 euros plus possible bank fees, 10 euros per year for maintenance, etc.
Thank you for your response. Is transferring between accounts free of charge?
Transferring between accounts costs 1% (not more than USD 0.65). The fee is charged to the sender.
Can you tell me if it’s possible to withdraw funds from Bookers to someone else’s Visa Classic issued in another country? (from Belarus to Bulgaria)
As far as I know, that won’t work. I once tried to verify a new card in Bookers, and Bookers rejected it with a warning that the country of residence and the card’s issuing country differed.
In your situation, it might make sense to open an account for the person in Bulgaria and link the card to it. Then transfer money between accounts and withdraw to the card.
Could you please tell me, for deposits and withdrawals, should I specify gaming or non-gaming purposes? Thank you.
In principle, it’s not that important now. But it’s better to select gaming since there were precedents before where choosing non-gaming purposes led to some restrictions.
Hello. I have a Visa Electron (currency) card from Prior Bank in Belarus. Can I withdraw funds from Bookers to this card? Thank you.
Yes, if the card is verified in Bookers, there should be no issues even for Belarus.
At the service world-visa-market.net, you can withdraw to Moneybookers by simply attaching their card. I work with them, and I’m fully satisfied.
Good afternoon!
Why do we need to indicate that the card will be used for gaming purposes? And if I already marked it as non-gaming, what then?
When I received an email saying “Withdrawal Confirmation” from Bookers, is that all? Should I just wait for the money to be credited to the card? Thanks in advance for the answers!
Good afternoon, Vyacheslav!
There was a period when, during card verification, if it wasn’t marked for gaming purposes, withdrawals weren’t allowed, only top-ups were possible.
If the confirmation came through and the balance in Bookers shows it’s deducted, then in 4-5 business days you can check the card balance.
Why do we need to specify it’s for gaming purposes? What happens if it was already marked as non-gaming?
Tatyana, I assumed this could be one of the reasons for your withdrawal issue. I remember there was a time when you had to mark it for gaming if you planned to withdraw funds to the card.
Thank you! Yes, I entered the control number and everything was done correctly during registration. I even got the statement from the ATM, and I always indicate it’s for gaming purposes… but still, I don’t have the option to withdraw to the card. If I write to them and they don’t respond, does that mean I’ll only be able to use SWIFT?
No, they always respond. It’s just that the response might be something like, “The problem is not with us, but with your bank.”
I once shared an example where I had 3 Visa cards from the same bank: Gold, Classic, and Electron. But I could only withdraw to the Electron card, and for the other cards, a message appeared on the Bookers site saying that the country where the cards were issued differed from the country of my residence :)))). My bank contacted the Visa representative, and they said that the issue was likely with the bank (Barclays) servicing the Bookers.
Nevertheless, write to them; perhaps the issue can be resolved and clarified.
Hello! Could you please tell me why I can’t withdraw money from Moneybookers directly to my VISA ELECTRON card? My Visa Electron card is attached to my Moneybookers account and verified. But when I go to the “Withdraw Funds” section, the only option I’m given is to withdraw through a SWIFT code. Why can’t I withdraw directly to the card?
Good afternoon!
Maybe when adding the card, you checked the box “for non-gaming purposes”? However, it should still appear in the withdrawal list.
Did you complete the card verification? Did you enter the control number from the card statement?
If yes, then I think it’s better to contact support, although there’s no guarantee that they won’t just reply that there are no problems on their end.
Please tell me, my account in Bookers has been blocked, and they are asking to top it up through a bank account. I have a Visa card linked to Telebank. So, in the Telebank system, do accounts fit for this, or do I need to open a special account?
Could you clarify if you need to top it up from a bank account or via the Visa card? These are two different options, and it’s simpler to do it with the card.
In principle, you can do it from an account, but it needs to be a currency account. If you’re using a card, it can be in any currency; the card transfer will be converted automatically.
As far as I remember, bank accounts are displayed in Telebank. But you can also check with VTB24 support.
Can you tell me, if I have a card account and when transferring, I need to specify the card number and the owner’s full name in the payment purpose. Such a card probably won’t work, since Skrill won’t bother with payment purposes?
Well, you have the card number that needs to be indicated in the payment purpose, right? Verify the card in the payment processors (Skrill) and withdraw directly to it without hassle, or open a regular dollar account.
How can I withdraw from bookers to someone else’s Visa Classic if when verifying the card, the name of the booker owner is automatically set, and then you need to check a box that this is your card… if I leave the name and surname of the booker owner but enter my own card number… will they let me withdraw?
Bookers and the bank only exchange the card number, expiration date, and CVV code. So you can withdraw to someone else’s card.
How long does it take for money to be transferred to a Visa card?
Usually no more than 5 business days.
Could you please tell me how to pay for an order on Taobao using a Maestro currency card??? When I choose the payment method with Maestro, it redirects me to Moneybookers! But there is no Maestro in the card types at Moneybookers!!!
Top up your account at the bookers with your Maestro and then pay directly from your Moneybookers account. Alternatively, verify the card in PayPal and pay through PayPal.
Is it possible to withdraw to a ruble Visa Classic? The bank said it’s possible and that the dollar amount will be automatically converted to rubles, but I have my doubts…
Do you think money can be withdrawn to a ruble Visa Classic card? The bank told me that the amount will be automatically converted to rubles at the bank’s rate. But I have my doubts…
They are absolutely right.
Thank you!
Good day! Could you please tell me how to withdraw money from a photostock to Moneybookers if the photostock account is registered to one person and the Moneybookers account is in the name of another? When withdrawing money from the photostock, there is a Request Payment table where I need to enter my name and address. Should I use the details of the account owner (the photographer) or the person to whom the Moneybookers funds will be sent? If I enter the photographer’s name, how will Moneybookers treat it since the recipient is different? Do they check names, or does the photostock keep this information for their records only?
Good day! Just make sure that the email is correct. And you must provide the name that was used for registration on the photostock to avoid issues with receiving payments.
Hello! Please tell me, can I withdraw money from the sites to someone else’s credit card? The thing is, I don’t have a card, but my relative has one, just a Visa. If I register an account on the sites in my name and verify my relative’s credit card, will I be able to withdraw the money to it?
Good day!
Yes, you can.
Regarding changing the transliteration of my name, I also have experience – I just changed my name in the bank after receiving a new international passport, where according to the new GOST, for example, ‘й’ is written as ‘ii,’ and ‘ю’ as ‘iu’ (!!!), i.e., transliteration is based on sounds, not on the grammatical rules of English or French (as it was in the 90s). So, in several banks, the operators easily changed the spelling for me, although sometimes due to unfamiliarity with the program interface, they were a bit stubborn. Showing the international passport or providing a solid justification is convincing. I repeat – banks have no prohibitions on changing the spelling of names and surnames in Latin letters.
I received the transfer! The sender topped up his SKRILL account without problems from his card by indicating ‘non-gaming’ purpose and transferred the money to my account. I didn’t wait for the verification of the postal address (I have been waiting for a letter from them for a month and a half) and tried to withdraw money to a virtual VTB VISA. It turned out that cards are verified separately and independently for both replenishment and withdrawal. My card was only verified for replenishment with ‘non-gaming’ purpose. But when withdrawing funds, the card must be ‘gaming’ without selection, and it seems VTB does not allow this operation, which is what SKRILL informed me. So, I had to withdraw directly to a bank account (in another bank), and I didn’t risk specifying a card account but chose an internet account (this option was described on poker player sites). The money arrived within a day!!! Moreover, no additional fees were deducted. After that, I transferred it to my card. Excellent! By the way, the amount was small (100 euros), and I didn’t make any test withdrawals of small amounts.
MoneyBookers MasterCard cannot be issued for Russia, as it is not available for most third world countries(((…And along with this, you cannot fully utilize all the privileges of this service, so I do not use this resource…
Everyone chooses what suits them… it is convenient for me to withdraw money from photobanks, so I use Bookers.
Thank you, it seems clear with the second question now. I will also check the first one when I connect the card after verifying the address.
And one more question. For example, the sender of a money transfer wants the recipient to receive €50 on their card. A fee of €0.5 will be charged to the sender for the transfer and €1.8 to the recipient for withdrawal to the card. How much should the sender top up their Skrill account before the transfer when topping up from a card? They will be charged 1.9% for the top-up, i.e., about €1. Should they top up by €52.3 taking these fees into account or by €51.3, with €1 being deducted from the card?
Don’t forget that there are also recipient bank fees, which are unknown. Let’s assume it will be 1%. Then, the sender needs to account for the following fees: 1.9%, 1%, €1.8, and 1%. With such inputs, it turns out that they need to send €53.95 from the card.
Regarding the fees:
1.9% is withheld by Moneybookers from the amount being deposited.
I still don’t quite understand the choice of ‘non-gaming purposes’ when connecting the card. You said that previously it was stated by Moneybookers that transactions with credit cards are and must be declared as gaming transactions, implying that this is no longer the case. But I just received a letter from support stating: ‘When verifying the card, you need to specify the ‘gaming’ purpose of the funds, as the condition to top up the account from a Visa card for ‘gaming purposes’ is a technical requirement of our system for activating the card for withdrawals. Choosing ‘gaming purposes’ will not affect your account, and of course, you are not obliged to gamble after that.’ Doesn’t this mean that if you plan to withdraw money to the card, you must definitely indicate ‘gaming purpose,’ but if you are just topping up the Skrill account, it is not necessary?
Yes, indeed, they used to position themselves as a system exclusively for servicing various poker rooms and casinos. Back when I made the review, I had experience adding a card not for gaming purposes, and it worked for withdrawals, so I indicated then that there seemed to be no obligation anymore. However, the support response you received shows that they still insist on this point. When my card expires at the beginning of next year, I will try to add a new one not for gaming purposes for experimentation and check if it actually allows withdrawals. As far as I remember, there was an explicit prohibition on deposits and withdrawals through Moneybookers of funds associated with gaming sites unless the relevant purposes were indicated when adding the card. Therefore, it was recommended to specify gaming purposes, as you may not plan to do so today, but tomorrow you may need to make such transfers…
Good afternoon.
I opened an account at the bank. I requested a withdrawal of $200 from moneybookers to this account, but it turned out that there is a mismatch in one letter of the name: in the bank – AleKSandr, in moneybookers – AleXandr. What will happen to the money and in what time frame? Where is it better and faster to change the name, at the bank or in your system? Thank you.
Good afternoon!
First of all, you need to clarify with the bank. Tell them that when providing the sender with the transfer details, there was an inaccuracy in indicating the name. It all depends on the bank’s position. If they insist, then clarify about returning the money to the sender, and after that, contact the support of the payment system. If everything goes well at the bank and they credit those $200 to your account, then just change the details in the payment system later.
AND WHAT IS THE SKYPE ADDRESS FOR MONEYBOOKERS IN RUSSIA?
I DON’T KNOW
Please advise, I’m almost desperate)
Here’s what they are writing to me on Moneybookers:
Your account is blocked for outgoing payments and payments with credit/debit cards, so we cannot process this transaction at the moment.
To unblock your account, you need to top up your account in Skrill (Moneybookers) via bank transfer.
Please transfer any amount of your choice from a bank account in your name to:
Account Holder: Moneybookers Ltd.
Bank: Commerzbank
City: Frankfurt am Main
So, can I just go and make a bank transfer to the specified details in my name, or do I need to open an account first and then make the transfer from it?
To be honest, I haven’t encountered such a message that to unlock the account, I need to fund it. I know they asked to send, for example, scans of documents or something like that. Well, if you are making a transfer, the information you provided is clearly insufficient.
Addition: Maybe I need to wait a while for the money to be deducted? It says that I cannot use the card for 24 hours. How long does the verification process take in general?
The deduction of the test amount occurs within 5-30 seconds, so if it didn’t work for them right away, then there is something wrong with the card, as I mentioned earlier.
Please help! I can’t verify my card on Moneybookers. I have a Visa Classic card. There are 20 dollars in the account. It says “We cannot process payments from this card. Please try using another card..”. What could be the problem? I can’t understand.
Also, I can’t top up my balance on Moneybookers because of this; maybe I’m doing something wrong.
Julia, first check with your bank. Most likely, there is a restriction on online transactions. For example, in my current bank, I need to submit an application to enable online transactions, and the application requires a list of countries with which transactions will be conducted.
I worked with Moneybookers for almost a year and a half! Since I am a seller on eBay, after additional checks, I was allowed to accept credit cards, so American users could pay me. Note that Americans cannot send money through this system outside the USA! Everything was great! I was on cloud nine! I recommended it to everyone and actively recruited new users through referral links. I didn’t keep money in the account—$400 I withdrew immediately to my bank account. Fast and cheap! Not all buyers wanted to use Moneybookers; some outright refused to pay through it! And then one fine day, my account was completely blocked! Without explanation! Luckily, I transferred almost $900 two days before the closure to my bank!! I had $0.03 left in the account. The answers to my emails were always the same—nothing sensible!! I called, only to waste money. The girl speaking Russian didn’t explain anything clearly—just told me to contact the security service via email! When I asked if I could use a new account? Yes, you can—but it’s already restricted like for all users. I went to the bank, opened an additional card, a new bank account—spent $30. The next day, they closed the new account! After reading reviews from others, it all became clear! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!
These issues are probably related to the ban on Americans playing online… since bookers are mainly focused on accepting payments for the gambling industry, and everything else is just an addition.
For eBay, use PayPal; they allowed payments to be accepted in Russia starting from September…
By the way, I get the impression that it’s generally risky to keep large amounts of money in any electronic payment system: sometimes accounts get blocked, sometimes money gets stolen, sometimes there are restrictions, etc.
Tell me, if the account is in rubles but I withdraw to a euro card, do I need to specify SWIFT for rubles?
If you withdraw to a card number, then it doesn’t matter what currency it is; it should convert automatically. If you withdraw to a card account number, then you need to check with your bank whether it’s possible to do this in different currencies than the account currency. Many banks will not credit the money to the account if the transfer currency is different.
Hello! I have a question: If initially I withdraw money to a card and verify it, will it be possible later to switch to withdrawing to a bank account? And how can this be done best?
Thank you!
Of course, you can. There’s no need to redo or delete anything. You just need to add an account and verify it. Then, when withdrawing, you can choose the method: to the account or to the card.
Good day, evening.
I would like to know if there are services or exchange sites where I can exchange money from Moneybookers to WebMoney.
Thank you in advance.
Good evening!
There are no official exchangers. The bookers prohibit such operations. Unofficially, you can find a lot of offers on various forums, but the process is quite risky, as you might face account blocking. In principle, if it’s a one-time operation, I believe it will be fine. However, on a regular basis, it’s quite risky.
Yes, as far as I remember, at least a year ago, they charged about 10% commission for such exchanges, meaning for 100 WMZ you needed to give 110 dollars of booker currency.
Although, in my opinion, there are no difficulties in withdrawing booker dollars…
Hello! The address you provided during registration on the site from which the money should come to Moneybookers does not match the address specified in Moneybookers. Is anyone checking this? The address in Moneybookers is verified.
Good day!
No, for Moneybookers, the most important thing is the accuracy of the data you provided during registration on the Moneybookers site. What you specify on other services does not concern Moneybookers.
Hello! I received a letter about an unsuccessful attempt to log into my Moneybookers account, but I did not log in that day. What should I do? Have you had anything like that?
Good day!
I haven’t received such notifications. Sometimes I get emails about failed login attempts when I enter the wrong password. It is possible that you exposed your registration email somewhere. In your case, someone might have tried to access your account, or it could be a phishing attempt, where the email about the failed attempt is sent not by Moneybookers but by scammers asking you to verify by following a link provided in the email.
Thank you for the response. I have another question: do withdrawals to a credit card/bank account take a long time?
If everything is normal, it should take about 4-5 business days.
Hello. Thank you for the article. My brother works in Germany and wants to send me money through Moneybookers. So I have a question: how long do transfers take from one Moneybookers account to another?
Good day!
Transfers within the system are instantaneous.
Hello! I have been using payment processors for a long time, and I verified my address a while ago; I previously withdrew to my card.
Now I have linked an account from another bank, but at the first withdrawal, I was NOT offered the 3 verification methods as you mentioned. Maybe something has changed?
Good afternoon!
Typically, an address is verified once for an account. However, something may have changed, as it has been some time since I opened the account and completed the verification. Soon, Skrill will be available too 🙂
Thank you for the response. It is indeed true that the sender did not send the money, they wrote that they have issues with Moneybookers. Could this happen? They asked to send money to the account. Do you know what an IBAN code is? Does Sberbank have one? If you write the SWIFT code, is the IBAN still needed?
Yes, they can definitely be. For example, if they violated any rules of Moneybookers or if the bookers had any suspicions of dishonesty, they block accounts for withdrawal operations until the matter is resolved.
You can also provide the data for sending via SWIFT, which your bank will give you. IBAN was primarily developed for EU banks:
“IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is an international account number assigned to a client in a bank or other financial institution according to international standards.
The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is mainly used in the countries of the European Union to simplify the automatic processing of international payments made in euros. Using IBAN reduces the number of delays and errors that may occur when making international payments, as the transmitting bank can verify the accuracy of the client’s entered account number (IBAN) before sending the payment from the bank.
In accordance with the requirements of EU Directives No. 2560/2001 and No. 1781/2006, as of January 1, 2007, the IBAN code has become the sole identifier of the beneficiary’s account for payments in favor of clients of banks from the countries that are members of the European Union and/or the European Economic Area (EEA).
As of January 1, 2007, EU/EEA banks are authorized to refuse to process payments where account numbers are not in IBAN format, and banks may charge an additional fee for returning payments. This requirement applies to Euro payments made in favor of clients of banks in EU countries.
When accepting payments, the bank can check the accuracy of the recipient’s account number using the check digits (even if the recipient is a client of another bank). Thus, the possibility that a payment will be delayed or not executed due to some other inaccurately specified detail will be reduced, as funds will be credited to the recipient’s account based only on the IBAN.”
I’ll add that the bank also confidently stated that they do not charge a fee for deposits (even with currency conversion). So think about what these intermediary banks are doing.
Official response:
In our system, a fee of 1.80 euros is charged for withdrawals, regardless of the amount transferred. This fee is deducted from the remaining balance in your account and does not affect the amount of the transfer itself. Our company does not impose any other charges related to withdrawals. If the amount credited to your account is less than the amount sent, it may be due to processing fees from intermediary banks. We warned you about the possibility of such charges with a message in the withdrawal section to the bank account.
That’s how it is…
anthonio, the bookers answered just as it is with them… I think the issue lies with your bank. If you find no fees in your card statement, then the only option left is the conversion rate applied when the crediting occurs. Different banks set conversion rates at their discretion; some set them the same as commercial rates at exchange offices, while others lower the rate for cards…
Sorry, and one more question, if I have a ruble card, will the money come to it?
If everything is correctly processed by your bank, then the money will be credited regardless of the currency of the card.
And one more question, if I verify a Visa Classic card issued by Sberbank, will it be verified the same way as the others?
And can the withdrawal limit to the card be increased?
For example, I want to withdraw $2500, but I can only withdraw $500… I withdrew $500, but how long does it take before I can withdraw the rest? It’s inconvenient… Can anything be done about this?
Regarding card verification, I want to say that the issuing bank does not matter. The main thing is that the card should be Visa and that there are no restrictions on online transactions from the bank.
The withdrawal limit can be increased. For this, in addition to verifying the card, you need to verify the residence address, and the limit will significantly increase. There are also other verifications that can collectively allow you to raise limits to 10,000 or more.
Hello, I probably have a silly question, but please answer it: which bank did you open an account with to withdraw money from the booker? And one more question… can a card be attached to the account so that the money coming into the account goes directly to the card? I don’t want to verify the card and have such a small withdrawal limit of $500…
Good day, Arina!
Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the name of the bank…
Regarding card attachment. The card is already linked to the account upon its issuance, which can be directly used for withdrawing money. In addition, some banks have implemented the possibility of linking a card to a regular current account. This all needs to be clarified with the bank.
“First of all, you will need a currency payment card VISA or VISA Electron…” It’s unclear what you meant by the VISA card – VISA Classic??? This is important to me since I plan to make purchases online with this card in the future. As far as I know, you cannot make payments online with a VISA Electron…
Good afternoon, Olga!
There is simply a debit product Visa Electron and other Visa products distinguished by the payment system, which is why I wrote it that way in the article.
Regarding the ability to use a VISA Electron card, you need to clarify that with your bank. There are no restrictions on using a VISA Electron card imposed by the Visa system. Yes, and a Visa Electron is usually much cheaper than the Classic. By the way, some banks offer the following: you get a main electronic card and create an additional internet card for this account. Internet cards are usually priced similarly to the Electron or even cheaper since they don’t require plastic. You will withdraw money from the main card, and the internet card will be used for online purchases.
However, I, for instance, have used an ordinary Electron card online without any issues.
Good afternoon. I would like to understand how the system knows that your bank account is not in the same currency as Moneybookers, to charge the 1.99% fee.
I withdrew to a Svyaznoy card (as previously mentioned, via SWIFT + account number), they immediately charged me 2.59 from my Moneybookers account, and the amount I received was 1.90% less. I’m at a loss… 🙁
Can you point me to where this is stated?
Good afternoon!
They won’t know at all. For moneybookers and any other merchant, this information is not available. The currency information does not go beyond your bank’s processing center. Most likely, your bank converted it and took a commission for that, plus there might have been another fee for the deposit. Or the conversion was made at a dumping rate.
Hello! I need to withdraw money from Moneybookers. The address is verified, and my ruble VISA card from Alfa-Bank is also verified, but I can’t withdraw. I contacted the bank to lift the restrictions on transactions with the code “Gaming.” They replied that I need to connect the “Alfa-check” service. I connected it today and then tried to top up my account using the card, specifying “gaming” as the purpose of the funds since it’s a technical requirement for activating the card for withdrawals to it, but unsuccessfully. I don’t understand the reason; could you clarify?
Good afternoon, Alexander!
If everything with the bank is resolved and they confirm that this type of operation is possible, then try writing to Moneybookers support to ask them to investigate. Perhaps Moneybookers recorded the initial status of the card in the system. Initially, there was a restriction on certain types of operations, and that remained in Moneybookers’ database. For example, as I know from my own experience, if you delete a card from the Moneybookers account, the data still remains in their system, and you need to contact them to request an update of the information in the database.
Hello! Where should I write if the money was sent to me but hasn’t arrived in my Moneybookers account? I couldn’t find anything in the FAQ under standard questions.
The thing is, I registered a new email (it passed verification) in Moneybookers and requested the money to it. I use Yandex for my email; does that matter?
Good afternoon, Tatiana!
Have you contacted the sender? Maybe they sent it to the wrong address? If you haven’t received it, you need to keep on the sender to check where they sent it and find out from Moneybookers support why you haven’t received anything.
The type of your email doesn’t matter. If verification was successful, then all is fine.
Good afternoon!
I am withdrawing money from my Moneybookers to a Visa card from Sberbank. I received a letter confirming the withdrawal of funds on August 5, today is already the 16th, but the money has not arrived on the card. Is it time to start worrying? 🙂 Or do such delays happen? Thank you!
Good afternoon!
Polina, we should start figuring this out, as under normal circumstances, the money should have been on the card by Friday the 12th at the latest. Perhaps there was a delay on the part of Sberbank? Some banks process such transfers manually.
+ one more question
If I, a Russian citizen, have a Visa card from a Russian bank, but I moved to another country for a long time, can I then open a card in a local bank in that country in my name and link it to the account? (I don’t want to lose on commissions again since they will clearly charge from the Russian bank card).
Will the card verification go through the same scenario? And if they require address verification, will it be “counted” for a non-resident?
It’s a tricky question. I don’t think I’ve seen such requirements from them, but I want to share a situation I encountered once. I opened a Visa Gold card at a local bank. Then I tried to add and verify it with the bookmakers. The verification was successful, but I couldn’t withdraw to it, as I received a message stating that my residence country and the country where the card was issued differ. The bookmakers attributed all my requests to the bank that issued my card. Meanwhile, the local Visa office checked and said it was some issue on the bookmakers’ side or their acquirer bank, Barclays. So, for completeness, I also issued a Visa Classic to the same account, and the situation was the same… Then I ordered a Visa Electron for myself… and, oh miracle, everything went smoothly with the Electron…
So, as I understand from my experience, if you’re going to issue a card at a local bank, you’ll also need to verify a local address.
Good day. What should I do if I only have a ruble account on my Visa card, but I don’t want to constantly lose on conversion?
Can I open a dollar account within the card? How will the bookers know which of the accounts to use (or is this specified)?
Or will I have to get a new Visa card with a dollar account?
Thank you for the answer.
Good afternoon!
If your bank allows it, you can open multiple accounts in different currencies within one card, so to speak, a multi-currency card. Usually, major banks offer such products. It’s not necessary to check with the bookmakers. You give them your card number, and when the money arrives, the bank should automatically determine the currency in which the money has arrived and which account to credit it to.
If the bank doesn’t offer multi-currency cards, then the only option is to open cards in the required currency.
Hello. I have been set some limit on deposits from my card for funding my account in Moneybookers, which of course does not suit me. How can I increase this limit? I wrote to support, but they are silent so far….
Good day!
If you have already verified your card and home address, then to increase the limit you need to contact support… They usually respond on the 3rd to 4th day, but sometimes you have to wait up to a week for a response.
Hello, it’s me again! The money arrived yesterday (it was exactly the fifth day). I received a second email on the fourth day saying that the withdrawal process was completed. Now a little bit of statistics… 🙂 I requested a withdrawal of $131 from Bookers, minus the withdrawal fee from Bookers, I was left with $128.45. In the end, I received $126.96, but since my account is in rubles, the bank automatically exchanged the dollars at a rate of 27.85 (which is, of course, lower than the official rate). But in the end, the main thing is that the money arrived, for which I am very happy!!! 🙂
Congratulations on everything going well!
I ordered a payout of $130, hoping everything goes well and the money arrives. I will have to wait a few more days 🙂 I’ll write back once it comes.
Okay, we will wait for your response…
Hello. I have a question: I added a Mastercard from Svyaznoy Bank (rubel account) to Bookers and deposited funds through it. Now I decided to withdraw (this is my first withdrawal). I understand that I can’t withdraw directly to the Mastercard, so I added the bank account number of the card and tried to withdraw to it. Can you please tell me if this operation will go through, and if so, in what time frame? It has been a day since the request, the status of the bank transfer in Bookers shows processed, but the money hasn’t arrived on the card. Thank you in advance for your help.
Good day!
Yes, you can’t withdraw directly to a Mastercard. Withdrawal to a bank account takes approximately the same time as to a card – 4-5 business days. By the way, if this is your first withdrawal, it’s advisable to try withdrawing a small amount to check that everything processes correctly.
Could you please tell me, if my Bookers wallet is in USD and my card is in USD, what will be the fee for depositing money into the wallet and what will it be for withdrawing from it? Thank you.
Deposit – 1.90% of the amount
Withdrawal to the card – 1.80 euros or about 2.50 dollars (depending on the current exchange rate)… the withdrawal fee is standard and not tied to the amount.
How long do they usually take to respond to requests?
I usually received a response within 5 days… It all depends on the queue… All requests sent to support are placed in a queue, which is processed in order… It’s better not to write again until you get a response, as your first request will go to the end of the queue. Regarding the letters, I’ve heard cases where, thanks to our wonderful mail, they arrived after two months… although mine arrived about 2 weeks after sending.
I just verified a new credit card and tried to withdraw money to it, but it still says Identity verification is required! Specifically for the address. What kind of nonsense is this? How am I supposed to do it if they don’t send the code? They also state on their website that if the letter doesn’t arrive, address verification is impossible. Why do they require it then?
That’s clear, I did that, but so far I haven’t received any response. Is there anywhere else I can write to?
Where exactly should I write to support to resolve this faster, and in what language should I write? The letter has been pending for 40 days or more; I can’t wait any longer, I need to withdraw my money.
Log into your account and go to the link httрs://www.moneybookers.com/app/faqmessaging.pl?node_id=1468&l=RU .
There is a section on Address Verification -> where you can ask your question
Hello! I was asked to verify my address when withdrawing money. I tried to verify my address earlier, but the letter never arrived; it has already been two months. How can I withdraw my money now?
Contact support, explain the situation, and suggest they resend the letter. Alternatively, offer to send them just scans of your documents instead of address verification. In any case, this issue needs to be resolved only through Moneybookers support.
Thank you for your answers!)
But what if I don’t have an INN (Tax Identification Number)?
Without a tax registration certificate, banks are not allowed to open accounts for residents… If you are a non-resident, then you can open an account without it…
or ask someone you trust to open an account for you…
Thank you. But how do I get a card? What documents will I need for this?
The same as for opening a bank account: passport and a tax registration certificate.
Good day!
The situation is as follows. I would like to make a deposit in one of the poker rooms, but this room (which I specifically need) does not accept WebMoney, which I used earlier; the only available option is Bookers.
I registered on the Bookers website (as I understand, you don’t need to download the client like with WebMoney??), but how do I fund the account? Do I need to open a bank account, then transfer funds to Bookers, and only then to the poker room?
And the second question: Is this legal? For example, if I open a bank account, transfer money to Bookers, and from there to the room, then I win that amount up to 2 thousand dollars (for instance), then I transfer it back to Bookers and from Bookers to my bank account. Will this raise questions at the bank about where that amount came from?
I can’t very well explain to them that I’m earning money from poker?)))
In short, if possible, please clarify this issue a bit. I would appreciate it.
Best regards, thank you.
Good afternoon!
Yes, you need to fund your Moneybookers account either with a bank transfer or a payment card… If you fund your Bookers account with a payment card, there shouldn’t be any questions, as that payment will look like a regular payment for goods or services, and that’s all.
Regarding legality. As I already mentioned, if you fund with a payment card, there shouldn’t be any issues at all, unless you have an extremely large amount. In terms of withdrawal, similarly, if it’s under 2 thousand dollars, there shouldn’t be any questions. Usually, issues arise when amounts exceed 10 thousand and above, but if it’s 2-3 thousand, no one will ask anything. Again, in my opinion, it’s easier to withdraw to a card, as that type of withdrawal is less noticeable to the bank. If, for example, a question arises about the deposit to your card, you can say it was a refund for goods or some service…
I withdraw my question 🙂
How long does it usually take for money from Moneybookers to transfer to a card? Thank you.
I wrote to them. They say the money has left their side. They even sent some kind of ARN number. My bank doesn’t know what that number is.
ARN (Acquirer’s Reference Number) – an identification number assigned by the acquirer to each INET record. It includes the Bank Identification Number (BIN) and the acquirer’s processing date.
In Russian, the ARN number is a unique transaction number in the clearing exchange between member banks of the payment system, which consists of the bank’s BIN and time data. You can see this value in field 31 of the clearing message. However, usually, operators and even just call center staff don’t even know what this is. Typically, it is the processing center employees or the unit directly working with the payment system, as well as the monitoring department that are familiar with this. They can either check their records to see if there was a transaction with that number and find out its status, or simply contact Visa to check if a request was made by the acquiring bank (for Moneybookers, this is Barclays) with that ARN number and what happened next… In principle, a Visa representative can definitely answer where the money for this transaction is located, but they will only respond to the bank’s inquiry…
Essentially, you need to have your bank do something, as it’s possible that the money is hanging in your bank on some account due to unclear amounts… It’s possible that your payment didn’t process automatically due to some error or incorrect information, and it wasn’t credited manually or it was credited but to someone else’s account… From my experience, I can say that although it doesn’t happen often, it can happen, especially in large banks where daily clearing transactions amount to millions of dollars…
What if the money has been on the account for 38 days going to Visa… Who should I contact and ask?
Write to Moneybookers support… the transfer to the card shouldn’t take more than 5 working days…
I don’t quite understand) Please tell me how quickly I can withdraw $7,000 from Moneybookers? Is it really possible to do it in a month? Will the tax office come after me?)
It’s quite possible if your outgoing transaction limit allows it… they shouldn’t come after you, since this is money coming in without any designated purpose like payment for something…
How long does it take to withdraw funds to a Visa??? The system shows that the withdrawal was successful!
4-5 working days
One more question… A person from Belgium can’t transfer money to my Moneybookers account…\nWhat could be the reasons? (unverified address or is he doing something wrong?)\n\nAnd within Russia, can we make payments to each other?
In general, there haven’t been any problems with transfers between accounts… maybe your Belgian correspondent has exceeded their limit or something like that? If something isn’t working out, it’s better to just write to support…
Thanks for the article :)\nI have a question – is there a difference between a debit and a credit card? I plan to open a debit card, but the M.B. website says “credit card.”\n\nAnd also, from the article, I understood that to withdraw through a card, you only need to verify it – enter its details and the amount that will be deducted as a verification. But in the comments, “address verification” is also mentioned – is that mandatory? Will I have to send scans myself or will they request them?
Veronica, there is no difference between a debit and a credit card. It’s just that in the West, almost all cards have been considered credit for a long time, that’s why they write it that way…\nYou can try to verify your address later if the withdrawals to the card are going smoothly, but it’s better to do it in advance… because the bookers might simply block the withdrawals until the address verification is completed, and then you will have to spend time on it… so to avoid waiting later, it’s better to verify your address now…\nsending scans is usually another level of verification to raise withdrawal limits… it is done either when you need to increase limits or when the bookers have some questions about you, and they will request the scans themselves…
Do I need to verify my address to withdraw money to an already verified card? And if I choose “not for gaming purposes,” will that affect my ability to send (receive) money? Thank you!
You can try not verifying, but it doesn’t always work out… sometimes withdrawing to a card can happen without address verification, but at some point, the withdrawal might be suspended by Moneybookers until the address is verified… so it’s better to verify the address in advance… also, this way you can raise your withdrawal limit.\nIf you choose not for gaming purposes, then you will be blocked from transactions with sites that Moneybookers may consider gaming: casinos, poker rooms, bookmakers, etc.
If I order a prepaid Moneybookers Mastercard and transfer money from Moneybookers to this card, can I withdraw cash at any ATM that services Mastercard in Ukraine? And what should I do if I need the money in hryvnias instead of dollars?
I think so… you will be able to withdraw in the local currency, whether it’s hryvnias or rubles, at any ATM with a Mastercard sticker… and you can also withdraw dollars if the ATM has them, then exchange them for hryvnias…\nThe only question is, would it be profitable for you in terms of fees? Because each ATM withdrawal will cost you 1.80 euros with Moneybookers, plus if you withdraw in hryvnias, there will be a conversion fee of 1.99% of the amount… In addition, you won’t be able to withdraw more than 250 euros per day… and local banks sometimes charge their own fees for withdrawals on foreign bank cards, ranging from 1-3% of the amount… The global advantage of such a card is that it doesn’t expose your turnover and earnings in your country… but in terms of fees, it’s more profitable to withdraw to a local bank account or card… However, if fees don’t bother you, you can use the Moneybookers MasterCard®.
And one more question. If the withdrawal limit on the card is exhausted, can funds be withdrawn to the bank account of the same card? Thanks in advance.
Ildar, with various verifications, a combined limit is set for the account, and if you have already reached it for card withdrawals, you won’t be able to withdraw anywhere until you either increase the limit or wait for its renewal…
Hello!
I would like to know, up to what amount can the limit for withdrawal to a VISA Gold card be increased if the bank account is not verified? And what do I need to do for this?
To Ildar:\r\nGood afternoon. Sorry for the late reply…\r\nIf your card is verified and you want to increase the limit, then verify your documents… You can increase it by at least 10,000 this way…
Good day, could you please advise if there are any other ways to verify my address? The letter still hasn’t arrived, but I need to extend the limits.
If your card and account are already verified, then write to support with a request to raise the limits… Usually, they ask you to send scans of your passport and some bill (statement) showing your address, and they increase the limit by at least €10K.
Please tell me, what is the limit on withdrawals from the system to a bank account?
And also: in whose name do the funds appear on the account – an individual or a legal entity?
Initially, they offered €1,000, then after account verification, they raised the limit to €15,000 for 90 days.
If you verify your address and payment card, you can increase the limit by an additional €5,500 for 90 days.
By verifying various details, you can achieve a limit of around €20K for three months.
If the limit is not enough, you can contact support to request a higher limit. They may ask you to send copies of your passport and a bill with your address and might increase the limit by another €10K or more.
If even these limits are insufficient, you can consider VIP membership, which allows you to operate without any limits or restrictions.
The money is credited to a bank account from a legal entity.
In the SWIFT transfer details, it was stated that the sender was MONEYBOOKERS LTD.
Hello! How do I correctly verify a bank account if there is no money in the Moneybookers account? I understand that I need to deposit money into the Moneybookers account and then send it to my own account? If so, how? Thank you in advance.
Good afternoon!
Why do you need to verify your bank account now? As far as I understand, you are not planning to withdraw money from Moneybookers yet…
Hello! I ordered address verification in MB, but three weeks have passed, and the letter still hasn’t arrived. Question: is it possible to withdraw money without the address being verified, or verify something else while waiting for the letter, or write to MB requesting address verification since the letter hasn’t arrived yet, as you recommend? I don’t have any bills with my address on them, so can I attach a copy of my passport with a registration mark, or is it not worth doing that? And a second question: when withdrawing money from Moneybookers, do I need to notify the tax authorities and pay any taxes in Russia?
Good afternoon!
Regarding the second question: I don’t notify anyone because the payment from Moneybookers does not specify that it’s a payment for services or goods… Banks usually start monitoring such payments only if they exceed a certain threshold… Of course, you can declare such receipts and pay taxes if you want everything to be transparent, but that’s up to you…
Regarding the first question: try sending a request to support, but I believe they will suggest ordering a new letter or waiting for the first one… As for withdrawals, when I made my very first withdrawal, it was before address verification… Verification allows you to increase the account limit to a certain level… Now, of course, I can’t say for sure whether it’s possible to withdraw before address verification. Try withdrawing, if it’s not possible, you’ll just receive a message about it, and if it is, everything will go through.
Hello! I have a question. My husband wants to link a card issued in my name to his Moneybookers account. Will there be any issues with this on the stock sites? That is, do they somehow verify the identity of the registered user and the cardholder?
Good day! Stock sites and Moneybookers do not cross-check anything. So you can go ahead and link the card.
Is it possible to withdraw without verification to a foreign currency or ruble account in Sberbank?
You definitely won’t be able to withdraw to a ruble account, as rubles can’t be withdrawn from Moneybookers. Verification is usually a mandatory process, it’s only possible that you might not need to verify the account if you have already verified the card with them…
This is my first time withdrawing money from Moneybookers to VISA Electron (Bank Avangard).
It seems the verification process was successful, and even when withdrawing money, they sent an email saying, “You have requested the following transaction for withdrawing funds from your Moneybookers account,” along with the amount and identification number. But after that, it went silent. The money has been deducted from the account and has been on the card for 7 days, but it hasn’t arrived yet. What could be the problem? Surely they can’t take so long to process a request, or did I miss something?
Please advise!
Also, the email contains a line saying, “TO RESPOND, YOU MUST LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT AND SEND A MESSAGE THROUGH THE “ACCOUNT/SECURITY” SECTION OF OUR SERVICE CENTER,” maybe there’s a catch there.
Thank you in advance!
In general, money usually takes 4-5 business days to reach the card, no more. In your case, I didn’t quite understand what exactly was written in the email, if possible, please provide the original text.
Hi!
I created two accounts on Moneybookers, but the system tells me, “Your account is closed because you have another account!” but I already managed to transfer money there. How can I restore it?
Thank you in advance!!!
Hello!
Did you create the accounts under the same name? If so, it will be quite problematic to do anything… If they are under different names, try writing to support, explain why you needed two accounts, and ask for a refund of your money…
Thank you for the response.
I don’t think there was any complaint against the sender. He hasn’t sent/received money to anyone else but me. Moreover, he registered just recently (maybe a week and a half ago). He sent me $50, and both our accounts got frozen (for $50 (!)). Maybe it’s because he didn’t describe the details of the transfer in the notes.. I’m not worried about those $50, but there’s more money in my account… And this person is probably living outside of his country of citizenship, but I don’t think that could affect it… If I don’t get a response from security via email by tomorrow, I’ll have to call them :(. It’s an unpleasant experience with Moneybookers. According to him, PayPal works much better, but unfortunately, I can’t receive payments through PayPal in my country… And what’s the point of checking documents? It’s just two documents: identity confirmation + address confirmation.. (mine + his). Moreover, I think it’s not normal to freeze accounts without serious grounds to suspect violations (I received only $50 from this person; all the other money I received from another company, and they have no issues with that transfer).
I understand that they are subject to UK laws… But this is just a very poor attitude towards customers (even if they had to block accounts, it would be preferable to respond properly to emails). They could have set up a decent support system; after all, they receive money from me! 🙁
Artem, yes, PayPal is also not as fluffy as it seems from the outside… They have their quirks too… as does WebMoney…
Let’s hope that everything resolves quickly for you without financial losses…
Hello,
A few days ago, my Moneybookers account was frozen for outgoing transactions. They requested scans of documents, which I sent to them. Then they asked for details of one transaction and the type of my relationship with the person who sent me money. I answered that question on the morning of April 14. Until this time, I haven’t received any other messages from them. How long can this document verification process take? I want to get my money as soon as possible. Should I call them? Or what can be done to speed up this process?
In general, I am somewhat dissatisfied with their service quality (this account freeze + their poor email support, but that’s just my opinion…).
Also, I recently accidentally sent a request to close my account (I just wanted to see what the process looks like, but there was no page requiring confirmation of account closure…) In short, it was my mistake. How can I cancel this request? I wrote about it to security@moneybookers.com, but haven’t received a response yet.
I am a bit anxious right now. I have earned this money for a long time (about a month and a half), and now it’s frozen… I hope for a quick resolution to the problem…
In general, I would be very grateful if you could answer my questions.
Thank you in advance.
Good day!
Artem, I haven’t encountered a situation like yours, but from my experience, they usually respond in about 4-5 days. So you can wait a bit longer, plus the document verification… judging by the fact that your outgoing transactions are blocked, there is probably an issue with your counterparty. Perhaps they are under some investigation or complaint, or something similar… usually, in such situations, they start checking where and to whom they sent money… and they maximize the freezing of withdrawals from accounts…
If you haven’t violated any of their rules, then I believe they should sort it out… I read somewhere (on some Western forum) that such investigations can take from 2 weeks to a month… try writing a ticket to them asking about your situation…
Also, perhaps try to submit another ticket…
Good evening. I previously wanted to withdraw money from Moneybookers to my bank account, but as far as I remember, they didn’t have such a function.
Now I’m once again inspired by this idea, thanks to your article. Thank you.
A couple of questions: 1. How long will it take to withdraw money to my bank account? 2. Will the commission for withdrawing any amount, even $10,000, be equal to €1.8 or some % of the amount? This is very important for me; 3. Can my account be blocked if I plan to cash out Moneybookers, meaning buy for less than the rate at which the withdrawal will be made?
Thank you in advance.
Good evening!
Withdrawal to the account takes 4-5 days.
The limit for withdrawals is set for 90 days. To raise the limit, you need to verify everything that is available: the registration address, the bank account… once everything that could be verified is done, you can write to support requesting to raise the withdrawal limit… they will ask for scans of documents… if everything goes well, they will raise it by another 10,000 euros.
The likelihood of account blocking increases in your case. Just note that they are not very welcoming to exchangers… so they may block you if you are moving money around too much or if they suspect anything.
Their commission is standard: for each withdrawal, it is €1.8, regardless of the amount.
Hello, the next question is: I have exhausted the withdrawal limit on my bank account. How can I withdraw now? Do I have to wait long for it to be restored?
Hello, I have the following question: I have exhausted the withdrawal limit to my bank account – what should I do now?))) Do I have to wait long? I tried to increase the limit – but there’s been no reaction.
Good evening!
Has anyone worked with the site massiveptr.com? If so, please tell me how to withdraw money from it to Moneybookers.
Good evening!
I suspect that you will hardly withdraw anything from there. It’s similar to a scam; drop this dead-end business… By the way, you can read reviews about them at advisor.wmtransfer.com/FeedBackList.aspx?url=massiveptr.com
Good day! I decided to verify my address. I sent a request to Moneybookers, now I need to wait for a letter. I have a question. If another person registers an account, will it be possible to verify the address in Moneybookers if the address is the same? I mean, several people can live at the same address.
Good day!
Yes, there’s no problem with that. I verified 2 accounts in my time for myself and my mother, at the same address.
Hello! Please advise how to proceed in the following situation. My acquaintance (a Russian citizen) does not have a permanent registration; I learned from your forum that this is not required by Moneybookers, only having a physical address in case it needs to be verified. At the bank, they won’t issue a card without permanent registration in Moscow (as explained by Sberbank), but they can open an account. So, my question is: when opening an account at the bank, if I indicate the address of temporary registration, and it doesn’t match the address provided in Moneybookers at registration (the physical address), will there be any problems? Also, why can’t I withdraw money from stock sites directly to an account or card without Moneybookers? Thank you.
Good day!
The address used for registration with Moneybookers and the address used to open a bank account are completely unrelated, and no one will cross-reference them… So there’s nothing wrong with them being different…
For stock sites to withdraw money directly, they need to interact directly with banks… which represents a more costly process, primarily… Additionally, it’s still easier to conduct transactions with virtual money…
Good afternoon! I wanted to clarify about the account verification. In your article, it is mentioned how verification is carried out: When the money arrives in the bank account, you will need to find out the verification code from the bank, which the payment system Moneybookers will insert into the transfer description. My experience was entirely different. During my first withdrawal to the account, they did not ask to verify it, possibly because I had verified my card, and during the second withdrawal, it didn’t work at first because they asked me to confirm my identity in three convenient ways: verifying my address, card, or account. It was my choice. Moreover, during the account verification, there was no mention of a code that gets inserted into the payment; instead, they offered to withdraw an amount of around 2 dollars from the account, and then specify the exact amount in the field. So the process is the same as during card verification. But it takes about 2 days, so I chose card verification. However, the card that had already been verified did not go through. They said that the card had already been added before. I added another card and verified it. The verification for this card went through, but I cannot withdraw the necessary amount to it because it’s a Moscow bank card. They do not allow it, so I withdraw the necessary amount to my Sberbank account. After the card verification, the withdrawal to the account went through successfully. However, I have not checked whether the money arrived or not. As far as I understand, does Moneybookers require identity confirmation through verification every time you withdraw money? Or is it enough to just verify the account?
Good evening!
Yes, in your case, it is definitely easiest to verify the account if you plan to continue withdrawing money to it. Because verifying it this way every time you withdraw just won’t be feasible with cards…
Regarding account verification similar to card verification using a floating amount, it is quite likely that something has changed… since I have only been verifying cards with payment systems for the last couple of years, I may have missed such a moment…
Thank you. When I try to withdraw from the new email, I will write what happened.
Hello. Please tell me, to withdraw money in Ukraine, do I need to perform all the same operations? And which banks are best for withdrawing money in Ukraine?
Yes. The technology for withdrawing money in Ukraine is similar. You need either a bank account or a card… Verification and everything else are also similar… I’ve heard that it’s possible to withdraw in Ukraine normally through Ukrsibbank or Reiffeisenbank… Maybe some of the Ukrainian visitors to the blog can add more banks to this list…
Hello. I have another question. I want to register an additional email with Moneybookers. Later, when withdrawing money that comes to this additional email, can I use the same account/card as the old email, or do I need to link a new account/card?
Good day!
Honestly, I haven’t tried. There was a situation when I needed to remove a card from the list of verified cards, so I wrote to support… then after some time, I tried to add that same card again, but received a message that the card was already added, even though it visually was not in the list… I also registered 2 accounts from one computer, but with different names, and did not have any problems…
As for the bookers’ rules, I don’t recall any prohibitions offhand. I think it’s better to clarify such matters with Moneybookers support since this question concerns the technical connection of the same bank details and the bookers’ attitude toward such things…
Good afternoon! I withdrew money from Moneybookers to my card, it’s been 17 days, and not only has the money not arrived at my account, but the bank says they don’t see such a payment at all, meaning it didn’t go through the Moneybookers system. However, the amount was deducted from my MB account. What could be the problem, and is there a risk of losing the money altogether? 🙁
Just to clarify, I’ve withdrawn money to this card before, and everything was fine.
You need to send a request to Moneybookers for verification. It’s possible that your bank has started rejecting such transactions to your card or their credit processing scheme has changed.
When withdrawing money to a card, they can get stuck either on the acquiring bank side or on the issuing bank side. So, write to the support of the bookers. In principle, Moneybookers is acquired through Barclays Bank. At one time, when I had issues with my card, the Moneybookers found out what was going on from their side.
I have a MasterCard, but I can’t withdraw to it, so I withdrew to a bank account through SWIFT code.
SWIFT payments reach the receiving bank within a maximum of 7 days.
Thank you very much! Without your advice, I wouldn’t have succeeded.
But about PayPal you wrote:
You won’t be able to accept or withdraw money through PayPal, as this option is unavailable for CIS citizens. You can only pay through PayPal, and that’s it.
Is this also true for citizens of Russia, in Moscow?
Just in some photo stocks, Moneybookers is not available, only PayPal.
Yes, PayPal is not available for Russians. The exception is only if you are located in one of the allowed countries and have a card issued in that same country. For example, if you are in the States, open a card and a PayPal account there, then you will be able to receive and withdraw money. But if you try to access that account from Russia, it will be locked.
It is problematic to work with those photo stocks that do not withdraw to PayPal. Either find friends abroad who will accept money for you on PayPal, but generally, all popular stocks withdraw to Moneybookers.
Also, if you submit another request, they will put you at the end of the queue, and that’s it. Of course, the email support is something.
Then we have to wait… since they have no other contacts…
I have written to them many times; they assign numbers and say to wait for a response, and here we are waiting.
Hello! By the way, I forgot to mention that they didn’t ask me to verify my address in Moneybookers. My question is this: next time I want to withdraw money to a bank card. In Sberbank, there is a card number (as indicated on the card itself) and a card account number. Which one should I indicate? As I was advised by Sberbank, if the transfer goes to the card from Sberbank, it is enough to indicate the card number; but if it’s from another organization, then the account number of the card. What should I choose in Moneybookers? Because if I indicate the account number, it will be a transfer to a bank account, not to a card? Or should I choose a card transfer and indicate the card account number in the card number field? And have you tried to withdraw money via PayPal?
Good afternoon!
You need to specify the Visa card number since the deposit goes through the Visa system, where the card number consisting of 16 digits is essential. So if you choose to transfer to a bank card on Moneybookers, indicate its number.
You won’t be able to accept or withdraw money through PayPal, as this option is unavailable for CIS citizens. You can only pay through PayPal, and that’s it.
Hello, I have been waiting for 9 days for the bank transfer to show up; the money has been deducted from my account, but it hasn’t arrived at the bank.
Good afternoon, Vitaly!
You need to definitely write to Moneybookers support
Hello again! I wrote to you about the situation with Sberbank (previous message), and the money arrived in my account on the third day! I withdrew $140 from Moneybookers and received 4050 rubles. The commission was also small, so Sberbank is great! I didn’t expect it. I have another question for you. Can I register on Moneybookers without having a permanent registration? Also, can I have two accounts in one name on the photo stock, but link one Moneybookers address to those accounts, the one I have? Lastly, how can I add a new email in Moneybookers?
Good afternoon!
I am glad that you finally managed to do it.
A permanent address is not necessary… just an address where the verification code letter will be sent is enough…
And why two accounts with the same name? Technically, I think it’s fine, just make sure there is no self-referral. But it would be better to clarify with the stock support to avoid any issues later…
An additional email can be added to Moneybookers in the profile at the link httрs://www.mоneybookers.com/app/manage_emails.pl
Thank you! As soon as I find out something, I will let you know what happened. It’s only been a day since I made the withdrawal. What about the last name? In what language should I specify my last name and other details when registering in Moneybookers?
Yes, I will wait for a resolution regarding your situation. However, it’s still early to talk about anything if only a day has passed since the withdrawal request. The details during registration should be provided in Latin script…
Hello! When registering, I specified all registration details, including my last name and first name, in English as on the credit card. However, I couldn’t withdraw money to the card (Bank of Moscow) because the transaction was possibly declined due to its gaming nature. I tried to withdraw to my Sberbank account. The request was processed and reflected in the history. I have a ruble account with Sberbank. Could there be any issues? Also, I specified my name in English in Moneybookers; will there be a problem with the recipient’s name in Sberbank? Please help me. I’m very worried that the money will be lost.
Good afternoon! Yes, some banks restrict such transactions… As for Sberbank, the situation may be as follows: since the account is in rubles, they might not process the deposit. However, some banks call clients and suggest opening an account in the required currency or submitting a request for the conversion of the received currency and depositing the ruble equivalent into the account. Although, de jure, the bank should return these funds to the sender since the currency of the account does not match, meaning the beneficiary’s details are incorrect…
Can you tell me, if the money does not come to my account in Sberbank, how can I return it back to my Moneybookers account? Will they not be lost?
Yes, basically, if they haven’t credited it to your account, they should return it to the sender… First, you need to find out from Sberbank the status of your transfer. If they respond that they returned it but the money isn’t in Moneybookers, then you need to contact Moneybookers support.
Good time of day. I hope you have more experience with withdrawals; I just did it for the first time (I already have experience with WM). Suddenly something goes wrong, I’m from Ukraine. I decided to link a virtual card; it worked. But they reject the withdrawal due to gaming designation. I decided to withdraw to the account.
So, my question is, they didn’t ask for its verification, and my data was pulled from them (maybe because I verified the card earlier?), and secondly, the status of the withdrawal request is “processed”—can I start counting 5-7 banking days and wait for the payment?
Good night!
Yes, there is such a problem where some banks block the ability to conduct gaming operations.
If the data was linked correctly and the withdrawal was successful, then it means the verification for the card was sufficient. Although, when I linked another card to my account, the system still required verification.
If the withdrawal request was processed correctly, and the money was deducted from the balance and appears in the transaction history, then you can start counting the days until the money arrives at the bank…
Hello, respected expert. I have a question regarding this system. I took a Visa Classic card, and they gave me account numbers in dollars and euros. I have a dollar account in Moneybookers. Which bank account should I specify when withdrawing money? Thank you in advance.
Good day!
I assume that you have a multi-currency card? If you plan to work with the card, then when linking it to Moneybookers, you will need to specify the card number, and you have only one. So there’s nothing to choose.
However, if you want to withdraw funds using the bank account linked to the payment card, then specify the dollar account.
Hello.
After verifying my card on MV, I had a balance of $2.59. When I billed $2.50 to my account from the DC, I received $2.05 in my DC account.
If MV charges a 1% transfer fee (but not more than $0.69), why is there such a commission? The transfer is in the same currency. Exactly $2.50 was deducted from my MV account. I would like to understand the logic of this calculation.
Thank you.
Good day
That’s correct, the commission for Moneybookers when transferring within the system is 1% (0.50 euros). At least, that’s what they have indicated in their rates, and that’s what was deducted from me when I transferred money to another person’s account in Moneybookers.
Try to clarify with the broker where you transferred the money; maybe the difference is their commission for replenishing the account from Moneybookers? If not, then write a request to Moneybookers support; they usually respond within 1-2 days.
Great review, thank you. The only thing is: I escaped from WM because of their paranoid security, so I don’t think anyone will switch from MV to WM.
MV seems to be more expensive, but it works great.
I wish I had read this earlier; it would have been very helpful during registration.
What to choose depends largely on where the money can be transferred to… Stock banks, for example, pay to Moneybookers and PayPal, while the majority of affiliate programs in the RuNet make payments to WM. Therefore, if there’s no choice, you have to use what’s available…
Please tell me, my name in Moneybookers does not match the name on my Visa card: Oksana – Oxana? Will there be problems when withdrawing money? What should I do?
Thank you.
No, there’s nothing to worry about.
Hello, is it possible to transfer money from Moneybookers to WebMoney? Thank you in advance!
Hello! No, it’s not possible directly. Only through exchanges or by exchanging with someone.
Good afternoon. Please tell me about the very first steps in registration. I’m starting the registration, entering my name, address, email, but it keeps saying – Your information must not contain special characters… what should I do? I’ve already tried everything:)
Good afternoon! Did you enter all the information in Latin (using English letters)?
Good afternoon! I kindly ask you to explain again about transferring to a card with a different name. You write that it is possible when transferring. They have “send money” and “withdraw,” but there is no account entered where it says send. If the owner of the Moneybookers account sent money to my account through “withdraw,” could the money be lost? (Today is the fifth business day since it was sent, the money was deducted, but it has not yet arrived in the bank account, we are very worried)
Good afternoon!
If you are making a withdrawal to a bank account, the transfer may take 3-7 days.. If to a card, then about 4-5 banking days. If the transfer is not received after these periods, the sender should contact Moneybookers support, provide all necessary information about the transfer, and ask them to investigate… also try to reach out to the bank, as there might be some incorrectly specified recipient data, and in that case, the money could hang in the bank in an account for unclear amounts…
Thank you. Very clear. A question about registration. Will there be any problems if the email specified for Moneybookers does not match the email specified in the photobank?
No, everything is fine with that…
Good day,
I would be very grateful if you could answer my question.
I would like to make a transfer of money (up to 500 euros) to Germany (Bank-Sparkasse). I have a ruble account at Sberbank. The most important question is whether I can make this transfer and how much the system charges for currency conversion. Thank you.
If you plan to transfer money through Moneybookers, then depositing money into the Moneybookers account via a payment card will cost 1.9% Moneybookers commission for account replenishment + your bank’s conversion fee (0-1%), as Moneybookers supports accounts in euros and dollars… withdrawing to a German bank card will cost 1.80 EUR regardless of the amount… approximately like that…
Could you please tell me? I tried to transfer $20 for starters. But nothing has arrived on the card yet. Is the amount transferred immediately or after some time? Although I completed the entire verification procedure.
If the card verification procedure was successful and the trial amount for withdrawal was debited from your account, then you should wait about 4-5 business days. Usually, the money is credited to the card on the 4th day after the order. If the money does not arrive on the card within a week and the bank confirms that they have not received the funds, then write a support request to Moneybookers explaining the situation and asking them to investigate where the money went.
Can I transfer money from Moneybookers to a card that is not registered in my name, but for example in my sister’s name???
Yes, you can… if it has been verified properly when added to your Moneybookers account, there should be no problems…
when transferring, the name and surname are not specified anywhere… and in the bank, such transfers usually go through automatically and no confirmations are needed… however, if you withdraw to a bank account, it’s unlikely that this will work, as usually the name and surname are specified in the payment purpose…
Here’s a question: Can I receive money via Moneybookers if I have a ruble Visa Classic card?
Aleksey, check with your bank to see if it’s possible to credit amounts that will not be in your account’s currency. Technically, it should all work automatically, including currency conversion into your account’s currency. This mainly happens at the processing level. At least, the banks where I used cards allowed this. However, keep in mind that you’ll likely face a conversion fee.
The easiest way is to make a test transfer of $10-20 and see if everything works smoothly. Although, in my opinion, it’s better to open a card in dollars to avoid complications.
Thank you for the article.
Oh, it’s so complicated, but I think over time, I’ll be able to understand this system; for now, it’s all just a mix in my head.
Thanks again for the article, it’s a very good overview.
It’s complicated until you start working. But after that, you’ll get the hang of it pretty quickly. The main thing is to believe in yourself!
Why should I choose the gambling aims for the card?
If you don’t plan any gambling-related deposits or withdrawals, you probably don’t need to choose it. Previously, Moneybookers indicated: “all our credit card transactions are and should be declared as gaming transactions, even though we are not a gaming operator ourselves.”
In general, choosing a gaming designation implies a broader coverage of sources for money coming into your account and recipients of money from your account at Moneybookers.
